It's particularly annoying when kids are involved, not only are they too young to appreciate the danger they are learning that it's OK.
Surely no one who takes a minute to stop and think would think that is how to handle a boat or enjoy a boat holiday come to that!
Beautiful job Malcolm, which compound and polish do you use? I was planning to do Keleka in the autumn but the gel coat looks like tree sap or something has got on her and it looks a mess.
That's very kind, thank you. I have unwittingly confused the issue with my first post though I fear. It is the much narrower "tube" that runs from a small outlet on the top of the holding tank to a grill on the opposite side of the boat to the pumpout and flush openings on the deck. It equalises pressure in the tank as waste is pumped into it from the wc.
In fact AnnV (John) above identified what I was trying to say and I now have an order in for the correct hose.
My apologies to everyone trying to help me, it is not knowing the correct terminology that gets me into trouble... but I'm learning π
It's the only bit I haven't replaced, seems like a good idea... hopefully π
Ah, not the large waste carrying ones, the much thinner one that allows pressure to equalise in the tank itself... I was thinking about 1/2" possibly?
Any product particularly recommended for use with an electric polisher/buffer? Original gel coat and just a clean and shine, I don't want to risk anything dramatic!
It seems a bit like allowing jogging on a motorway to me!
I don't want to stop anyone enjoying the rivers in any way they please but I also don't want a tragic accident on my conscience for the rest of my life!
Let's share the water but have some designated places for safety's sake!
I imagine that given board members ages and experience that a number of us have been in involved in accidents of all kinds over the years.
It seems that that the ones suffered before social media were our bad luck and the ones since were because we were idiots lol
It is never pointless to try to mitigate against accidents!
