  1. Hemp is also used in clothing as well, there are very low thc versions around being grown and you'd have to smoke half the field for a party, probably the same stuff used for cbd oil that is so popular now. I recall emerging from a wooded track once into a field thinking I'd found a huge illegal stash, you could tell by the smell (or lack of) it was a legal variant but did take me back a bit.
  2. Because MM would never be able to find a green one....

1, Perfect! 2, And so you should. 3, Yes dog friendly. 4, Your welcome. I should mention they don't do food. Last time we went in there the landlord was doing something when the beer ran out so he just said to SWMBO "you know where the pump is, go for it" so she did.

If you like a good walk head up the hill out of beccles to the butchers arms (about a mile from yacht station) a proper pub.
  5. I usually go for 1.5x boat length 12mm double braid with polyester outer braid and nylon core, the polyester is better for abrasion and the nylon gives a bit of stretch for when the wind is tugging on it a bit as it's quieter in the boat. The strength of 12mm is probably enough to suspend the boat by but is kinder on hands than thinner. For bouncy Harbours I have 16mm 3 strand nylon to avoid the banging on the cleats.
  6. Marinised aero engines by the sound of that, I guess it would make sense to produce a common fuel that can be used in all sorts.

I think it depends on which locals are in and how hard the jukebox gets hit.

Not that I know of but not been in since last year, I assume still Terry & Marion still, Rob the son was running it for a while but went back to a building job last year.
  9. Some of the little tremors we get set the hanging mirror on our bedroom wall rattling if the epicentre is close enough, buncefield refinery also set it going when that went bang and that's a fair distance from st.neots, I can live with a rattly mirror.
  10. Quite a lot were fairly recently built and SHOULD have been to earthquake standards I believe, the back handers are likely a lot cheaper than the right specs in some of those cases, when schools collapsed in a chinese quake killing the occupants a while back some builders were sentenced to death over ignoring quake proofing for more profit. Much the same as grenfell towers cladding is probably safe with the right fire breaks in place, short cuts are common place the world over unfortunately, it's the poor sods inside that pick up the tab in the worst possible way.

    I can only think Loddon.
  13. Keep a good check on the weather first, a sudden stratospheric warming event is occurring at the moment which is what caused "the beast from the east", apparently it can take 3-4 weeks to filter down through the atmosphere and tends to reverse wind direction so we get wind from siberia. May not happen like that but be aware.
  14. When one of the 47kg bottles goes bang inside a burning chip van it's a different matter, saw it happen at the bulldog bash many years back, the flare out the top was huge but the heat from the rest of the burning van got to it, the bottle took out out 2 other stands when it went pop. Luckily everyone had got well away by that time so no-one hurt.

  17. I used lengths of the glassfibre/foil ducting insulation on the main runs on mine, makes a world of difference.
  18. And luckily no major faultlines under the UK, we do get the odd earthquake but very minor and rarely any damage, turkey is a bit of a tectonic crossroads.

    Aweigh App

My home mooring is just upstream of the postwick outfall, I use the turd of tide to tell which way the water is flowing.

    Aweigh App

If in doubt wee over the side and see which way the bubbles go, an app can't get that wrong. It's only ever a prediction nowt more.
  23. Oi! I'm a grown man and I don't know better I'll have you know, don't knock it till you've tried it... An impressive bang and glad to hear all people safe and no major property damage, wouldn't be surprised if a few windows have suffered though. At least pepes can get home tonight.
  24. I dealt with a company that could 6" thick stainless steel with a water jet, not something to get in the way of. But would be quite high impact for the explosive inside.
