  1. I would totally agree NYA are superb, we have bought from them and not sold through them but their service I can say is above anything you could wish for.
  2. I was on our boat last weekend, Lulu stayed at home with the hounds, I didn't get a wink of sleep Saturday night due to the wind and driving snow and spent 5 hours stripping the starboard engine in the cold on Sunday, anything has got to be better than that for Easter. BTW yes I got the engine back together and running sweet. so its all systems go for the season (I hope)
  3. Well a negative and a positive but I hope you had a wonderful holiday
  4. Mind you i'm not sure I'd let Tommy Walsh near my boat !!!!!
  5. Lulu has just informed me that she has recorded 'Narrow Boat Afloat' with Alan Herd,(the carpenter who helped Tommy Walsh), I recall the program from years ago, again lots of practical skills shown. Its on Quest channel apparently
  6. Agree totally, I wouldn't even have thought to ask the question !!
  7. You better let Lester know !!!!! he obviously hasn't clicked yet
  8. I may stand corrected but I think that he 'unofficially' turned down a Knighthood some time ago due to the lack of funding towards sciences in the UK. As I say I may stand corrected. Truly a great man and a great mind lost.
  9. Well done Wyndham enjoy every minute of being skint and HAPPY !!!!!!
  10. Absolutely agree, pure guts
  11. I just noticed that on the 'Unread area' things are appearing twice , has someone messed with the improbability drive ?
  12. What a journey, couldn't script it, no playwright could pen it, an amazing episode in the life and times of vessel and crew. Independence is a fine machine and had a worthy and experienced team guiding her all the way. Robin and crew, I've never met you (hopefully we will see you all at the Spring meet) but it seriously feels that you are all friends, because in the end friends care and worry about each other , for their safety and their achievements, for their honesty and giving. I think that from purchase, to delivery home in Brundall, Indy was guided by all of her crew and pushed an inch at a time by all the friends that sailed on her with you. Good luck and do your own thing when you want to do it. Selsie
  13. I'm thinking most members and guests reading this are quite baffled and think we have probably lost the plot
  14. Lets face it compared to Grunthos the Flatulent or dare I say it 'Paula Nancy Millstone Jennings' of Sussex Vogon poetry is quite mild.
  15. Ahh yes always know where your towel is, as for Vogon poetry please keep it to yourself.
  16. Yesssssss. I remember 2014 well when the 'Coypu was public enemy No 1 in Norfolk'
  17. Been thinking, (not always the best thing) if Slartibartfast designed the Norwegian Fjords, he must have had a hand in the Norfolk broads, both undoubtedly beautiful places.
  18. If indeed Grendel updates the Infinite Improbability Drive, this does mean that every boat that all the NBN members own will exist at all points in the universe at the same time and they will all take on the shape of a running shoe. Oh, and do you really want your boat to have a GPP
  19. 'Ask me? why ask me? brain the size of a planet and I get to open doors'
  20. Well said Robin, I'm literally raising a glass to that, and a decent Rioja to boot !!!!
