  1. I called Richardsons out twice last May they were with us in half an hour one call was the heater not firing up they took the unit out and replaced it with another they had brought with them sorted in about twenty mins
  2. Did think it funny saying similar boat and two different sizes. Will find out in September and if it is 38ft will take a few photos. Broadland Breeze is similar looking and that is shown as 35ft
  3. The photo Richardsons show of Ibiza is Major Gem. We are on Ibiza in September it is 35ft in their brochure it says photo of similar boat i.e.Major Gem
  4. You need a loan if you got people I got a quote from, wanted £1700 for fitting and that is to existing pipe work.
  5. Thats the Broads Bug you can' t get away
  6. Just beat me to that. We went up a few times in the 70s, as you say no railings and a sloping roof. Took my wife five years to get up the two ladders
  7. Old railway bridge Potter Heigham and Acle bridge
  8. No but one or two went for a swim who hadn't found their sea legs getting in and out of the cutters. PS I wonder if Robin's beemer is still running. We seem to have gone way off course with this posting.
  9. Don't know about the street name but thats the one looked like a prison I was there 1959
  10. That was obviously the new school I went to the oid one no swimming pool there only the Thames
  11. I went to sea school in Gravesend many years ago
  12. Hi Perry I'm a reasonably new member myself, you'll have fun chatting with this knowledgeable and friendly crowd on here. WELCOME
  13. Griff and VetChugger don't forget Ingleton as a runner up I know we're not N.Yorks but it's all Gods country. J M because we've only got canals and anglers in t'north
  14. When we had our boat on the Sheffield and South Yorkshire Canal there was a lot of match fishing, mostly with poles there were some bad anglers but the majority waited till the last second then lifted their poles up and back down again as we passed, just like going under a Mexican Wave. On a further note we have had maggots catapulted at us
  15. If you get up North what cruise liner do I have to look out for
  16. I agree with Paul, very few boats will ever get through but if people are willing HW will gratefully accept the money. The lowest I've seen in past years is 6' 7". We went through in 1977 with Caravelle and Constellation, got the photos to prove it. Never had a boat that would go under since then
  17. Might see you in Sept we'll be there 7 to 17 Ibiza 1
  18. Can"t wait till May, got to get on the water so booked San Domingo 3 four nights 18 to 22 this month anybody around give us a wave.
  19. Have seen seals in the Ouse at Goole fifty miles from the sea
  20. Probably too late with this but when we needed a stairlift doctor arranged for Social Services to call they visited and checked everything said we would probably have to pay so much towards it cost us £29.30
  21. All the way up the A1 to A684 go through Bedale
  22. Reading all these posts I'm inclined to agree with them, as Wyndham says it's just a car and Oldgregg's post saying they are just parts installers I think that applies to most places right up to main dealers thats why they are now called fitters, mecanics seem to be a dying breed. I recently changed my car, had a Mazda5 for eight years it was three years old when I got it started to cost a bit and Mazda parts are dear. Looking at the different interpretations of what BMW stands for I would be reluctant to have one.
  23. Don't know if it is right yard but Broadsway Cruisers was on Commadore Rd, first time on Broads 1975 hired Cambria also think Topcraft was there.
