So you had carnal knowledge on a Dutch barge!
  2. I think you will find that the Wroxham road is going to be shut then as they have to put put drainage across the road I don't think the roundabout will be complete then.
  3. Certainly looks like Ranworth Dam to me.
  4. I must say I agree with some posters, no private owner in their right mind (unless unaware of the conditions) would moor down that side of the dyke on a permanent basis. I reckon after a couple of years the insurance companies would start and put two and two together regarding the location of so many claims.
  5. I see from the EDP costs are due to rise again, how surprising, NOT.
  6. You could be right there, the Ludham mill does have a list.
  7. Also the sun is in about the right place for that time in the evening.
  8. I will hazard a guess that is on the Thurne between Potter and Womack Dyke. Looks like the old wind pump on Ludham marshes and the boat in the distance maybe be turning into Womack Dyke. Or there again it might be somewhere totally different. ☺
  9. Simples, don't watch it. Thank god television doesn't rule my life, watch barely an hour a day, max.

    Thurne Lion

Back in the days of yore, when big Patrick had the Lion, he used to do breakfasts in the season, I believe he did quite well. Is this something you might consider Rick?
  11. Salhouse Road is now open as of late afternoon Friday.
  12. Keep hearing what you all had to eat, but no mention of what Seren had!
  13. Just reread, I meant 4 5 rating, wrote it after I had been inspecting the hygiene of the beer glasses at my local.
  14. The difference between an MOT and the hygiene rating is that you know when your MOT is due,so if you are a responsible motorist you keep your vehicle to standard, if not you put it through and then rectify the failure faults. With the hygiene rating you do not know when they when they are coming, so to achieve 3 or4 rating implies an in place regime.

Damn, you'll beat me by one day.

    Thurne Lion

It's gone very quiet on this thread, is the Lion now open?
  17. If you are going to eat in the New Inn, have you thought about booking a mooring at the pub, the family could walk down and meet you there or whatever.
  18. Interesting, but not surprising, that the Ferry Inn has not been recommended.
  19. I think it was the early 80s the Horseshoes closed and later became amalgamated with the Kings Head as a music venue, I think it was called the Waterfront.

Two in fact Howard, another on the far right, where the kiddies bikes were.

Only if they are accompanied by feet
  22. What is the price that has horrified him? £3.20-£3.75 is probably about average across-the-board in an average broads pub, though I'm sure Howard can correct me. I think it is an historical thing going back to when Norfolk was 'Watneyized' back in the 60-70s.
  23. Pretty dead. Being run on a shoestring.
  24. I see Enterprise Inns, sorry, Ei Publicans Partnership, have decided finally to sell the Bell Inn, Salhouse.
