  1. Somehow I don't think there will be much in the way of laying snow on the broads, we are nearly outside the yellow warning area. More likely a mixture of rain sleet and snow.
  2. Long live the printed word! The day is not too far away when the internet will be overwhelmed by hackers and viruses.

  4. Why the need for a telly on a boat? Surely going boating is to get away from it all.
  5. What sort of aircon system is it? A lot of them are reverse cycle, so can heat to an extent as well as cool.

  9. Enterprise changed their name to EI as it stands for 'exit imminent'. If you fail - out If you do well they up the rents etc. - out If you do really well - they chuck you out.
  10. I think that, unlike the old pound coin, most the old fivers and tenners have virtually disappeared already as the life of the notes was pretty short.
  11. Are you sure you really know what you want on your boat Robin? It's strikes me that throughout this thread that you are going to spend more than you paid for the boat. Why do you need to spend a fortune upgrading your nav gear to cruise the Yare and the North sea.? I'm not decrying you Robin, it's just that it having worked in the industry based mainly around Oyster Marine, all these super dooper integrated systems came hand in hand with big integration problems. Keep it simple.
  12. These new £10 notes need treating carefully, I have had several at a time from the post office and when they're pristine new they tend to stick together. I have found a couple of times it's easy to hand over £20 instead of £10. I've mentioned this to several people and they all agree, so beware and check carefully how much you are handing over.

  14. I think they had a microphone right against the engine to hilight the sound. When I was near her in september and she moved off, she was extremely quiet.

  17. On the contrary, in dome cases the landowners were told they were responsible for maintenance. Landowners said stuff it.
  18. Yes Howard, they were there before they moved to Woodbastwick. As an aside, they arnt doing very well running the F and F themselves.
  19. Erpingham Arms (ex Spread Eagle) has just closed. Privately owned, owner has put it down to poor trading figures.
  20. Yes, all my picture showed was a small area of yellow sunset and the rest was grey, although the whole sky was a varing orange.
