  1. I have tried to look at the NBF twice this afternoon and each time I am getting a de-bugging message. Is anyone getting the same. Surely it isnt going to go t.ts up again.
  2. Well there have been at least 5 Le Boats delivered to HW over the last 2 weeks. One of them was on a huge truck with International markings on the side. So I wonder where that one was off to. I am sure that Emperor was one that went past on Friday morning to HW yard.
  3. Jill from a complete thicko here - what are we supposed to be looking for? M
  4. The boat may have been found, but it is not recovered. In fact, it's been rammed deep into a soft bank Pity it was not soft enough so that the crook could sink in up to his neck.
  5. In a wind like today they are just like a leaf on the water - no control whatsoever. Will avoid like the plague if I see any narrow boats.
  6. We have a log 40 and it is brilliant. No problems , North or South. http://www.aerialsandtv.com/atvschoiceofaerials.html#Log40
  7. Vandals unfortunately have a completely different outlook on life, and probably enjoy causing distress to the victims by their actions. Yes mores the pity.
  8. Hubby's first thought was - well I do hope it was not winterised.....
  9. Thank you Strowager for the explanation, when I passed my comments to hubby he more or less said the same as yourself. At the end of the day I cannot see what these idiots get out of doing a stunt like this. We are such a close knit community in a restricted area where all eyes are peeled on the look out immediately anything like this is reported. All they have achieved is causing a great lot of grief to one poor owner who I should think has been having kittens over this and his boat will never seem the same to him again. A big thank you to them for that. This element that exists these days have only one thought and that is for themselves. On the subject of our boys in blue - pity they cant clip these little buggers round the ears like they used to and drag them home to Mum and Dad.
  10. Just out of curiosity , How did they get into the cruiser? How did they start the cruiser? Pitch dark as you say and not the nicest of weathers, Is anyone aware of who took the cruiser. Bet if we left our keys behind we would not be so easily on our way with no keys. Has someone been able to make a copy of the keys. Are they left in a boat yard? Makes you think.
  11. Have a word with Clive on from Richo on this site. He will be able to advise you. It may not be what you are looking for and yet again it may be just up your street while you are looking.
  12. Despite all of the doom and gloom that was said about the fishing up at Potter Heigham since the surge, this week has been good, I have seen Pike caught up to 31pounds and lots of decent Bream. This is all good to see.
  13. We saw Horatio as it was called on the side of the boat, moored at Potter Heigham. Looks a very smart boat, but it did look a fixed height boat, no leeway to put down the top at all. I would think you would have to plan your trips carefully according to the tides if you were going anywhere near bridges. It had obviously come through Gt Yarmouth quite happily. I still would have thought that a boat of that calibre would have had an electric windlass.
  14. Yes I have heard the same, and I think a big thank you goes to the guys of this site. You are diamonds. Thank you for all of the information you have given to NBF members and I do hope they appreciate it.
  15. I think all of them have their 'off' days. As has been said our Hermes lady delivery driver is a peach. She knows exactly where to put things safely if we are not there. Royal Mail I am still trying to 'train' as they say but they are not too bad. Some items from other carriers have arrived looking as if they have been playing rugby with the parcel.
  16. Broom's Horatio 551W on Craigs Web Site is 35 foot 1 inch x 12 foot 4" and if you look at the Hoseasons Web page it has suddenly grown to 43 foot 3 inches x 13 foot 1 inch. This is not an inexpensive boat by any means. Has it got an electric winch on the front?

    Aquatabs

When I think of a friend of mine that died of Legionnaires disease at the age of 50 caused by a dodgy showerhead abroad, it makes you think that you ought to protect your loved ones. M
  18. We went out for a drive this morning to Martham to look at a holiday cottage but unfortunately couldnt get to look because of the chaos at Martham Boat Yard and when we looked at their dyke - yep the dredging machine was there. Now may be this for use at the Boat Yard and nothing to do with Heigham Sound before we all get out of prams.
  19. We have seen this morning an extremely long iron barge come through the bridge. Because the sun was shining so bright in your eyes (yes really) I couldnt make out if it had silt in it or not. The chap steering it looked perished.
  20. Yesterday we saw a Goodchilds dredger go through the bridge (bit of a squeeze) so assume they must be dredging up above the bridge. Is that an annual task?

    Aquatabs

Thank you. Such a simple but really good product it seems.
  22. I don't do aliases " I am what I am" etc etc....... There are quite a few of us who keep to one name.

    Aquatabs

Was discussing the subject of draining down etc prior to winterisation. The subject of Aquatabs came up. Whoever said that they could not find them to purchase but I have seen them from Amazon to Ebay in various packs and sizes. Has anyone used this product in their water tanks on the boat please?
  24. It is my understanding also that Paypal never sends an obscure email. If it comes from them it always addresses the person personally ie Mr Smith etc.
