  1. And to quote Trigger from Only Fools and Horses, "so what are you saying". Only joking. It is all very complex and I agree with the sentiments above about better to be wet and cold than dead. One thing I was concerned about with the Broom's Captain is that they are all sealed windows, unless of course you have fabulous weather and can open the roof top in the front cabin. However I did notice that there is a Co2 alarm in the galley.
  2. Thank goodness that eyesore has been removed. Well done BA.
  3. I think every 3 or 4 days on a hire boat, just to keep it fresh. You dont want to spend the whole of the holiday worrying about the loo.
  4. Regards the loo , we have taken on Griff's mantra , if its yellow let it mellow if its brown flush it down. Does help a bit with these water guzzling loos. Totally impractical and would be better if they took river water for a start. I guess this is called 'roughing it' as Judith Chalmers said.
  5. Dont worry about the few , Gracie and I have it all sorted. Found a lovely Home for them all. Dont take offence , if you see the tripe I get on my posts you will realise that it is probably the only pleasure some of them get. Not quite 75 but 72 and 73 this year and going to make the most of every moment. A big Welcome from me and mine.

Really M , mind you there must be comfort knowing that you are not the only heading for the Home shortly. Gracie any chance we can organise a Shearings Coach because I think we are to need one.
  7. Last time I saw it , it was overflowing. Wouldnt want to moor near it.
  8. We go through Riverside Rentals , we have hired at Horning, Wroxham and Potter Heigham. Another property for rent is above the Potter Heigham Bridge. https://www.discovernorfolk.co.uk/link/hide-cottage-670/ Wilderness Wroxham excellent Tealby Horning excellent Watersedge Potter Heigham.
  9. Oh dear I bet in this weather it rather pens and inks and also attracts all manner of flying insects. Uggh!! not nice. Such a shame as it is a beautiful spot.
  10. Think if you invest in some new toys for your little one. Not large toys or too many bits to lose. Mine at that age were quite happy bashing a saucepan bottom with a wooden spoon. (will drive you nuts but will keep little one amused for while) It is surprising what you can conjure up out of nothing. Dont worry a few more years and it will be easier. Make sure your little one always wears a life jacket , you know what slippery little devils they can be when your back is turned and can quickly escape. Remember this post is coming from a Nanny and I am not very modern as far as little ones are concerned.
  11. I think that Richardsons are open in the morning and also Herbert Woods. Not forgetting Sutton Staithe. Just get there early.
  12. We seem to have got it, just don't ask how. Thank you for your help.
  13. keeps asking for a code and to log in tried everything and not getting anywhere . Think we will give up.
  14. ok can get it on laptop but would like it on the TV. Not got a smart TV. How do we get it? We have a Firestick.
  15. What time does it kick off. Anyone know please.
  16. On Craigs web site as Tot Tyme. It is not tolled according to the BA toll system. May be was sold and went to another water way.
  17. Shame there isnt an emoji for a disgusted face.
  18. Sorry Vanessan but Aldeby is now £8. If you want peace and quiet the mooring just before the Yacht Club are really a pleasure to be at. Whats £8 these days, doesn't even buy the soap powder.
  19. We thought that when we had a bow thruster fitted cost about £4,500 plus a electric winch another £3.,500. Did we get our money back , no , so dont expect it. Just put it down to making your life easier and enjoy yourself.
  20. You can moor on the right as you approach Beccles, saw that it is now £8 for the night. Good safe moorings and their posts are similar to Polkey's Mill nice and high so no fear of getting caught on the side. The chap comes round for the fee. We moored there last Summer and it was fine depth wise.
  21. Just one thought (dangerous) when he does move does he leave all of his clutter on the bank? If so then no one will moor there which is unfair to others.
  22. Oh dear , better apologise forthwith. What can I say, no we did not cruise to Norwich but just passed by this chap twice. As you say you cannot judge a book by its cover, but Ricardo what folk see is what they see and it rather looks like someone has taken up residence for now and for always but you say he moves and he is a good sort, that is good enough for me. Sorry. As you say others are not tolled. I will go and get back in my box. Only joking... shows how you can misjudge.
  23. No they would not make him homeless, he would be like all the other genuine liveaboards who move around the broads. If that was the case they could all rock up and moor wherever. Loads of liveaboards who do not clutter the place like this. Someone is pulling someone's p..ser here.
