The chain saws were still going last night on the road I live on, they have finally chopped up the fallen trees and done some surgery on the remaining trees.

We went to a village locally the day after Doris, their Silver Jubilee Cherry Tree had clearly succumbed, but there was almost nothing left, the wood-burners in this wealthy community were already benefitting. Community action at its most efficient!

Looks like a reef will be needed this weekend after such a beautiful week. The last two days I have been in the garden all day including having my lunch. Really making progress at getting the garden back after 16 months of only just keeping on top of the lawns and hedges.

More high winds please, I'm not at the boat this weekend and already split the ash tree I gained after doris, I could do with the final wood pile top up.

I think I have next winter catered for and the winter after that, but I'm collecting for the one after now, you can't have too much firewood.
