Gracie
Ahh, that's where you're wrong Alan, I would hire a gardener with one of those sit on mowers and a six pack You know the advert where a girl shakes up a can of coke and throws it to the gardener where upon he opens the can, it sprays out all over his shirt and he has to take his shirt off, very silly advert of course Just off to purchase a multi pack of coke as we speak Grace
HEM
Marshman's cottage? Must be a pretty "senior" marshman to have a cottage that size. The one I sort-of-knew 40 years ago just South of Repps Staithe was "one up, one down".
Springsong
There used to an ex Royalls Royall Tudor type boat moored in front of the house. Somewhere I have a photo I will see if I can retrieve it.

That's to keep the river traffic from smashing the boat to smithereens!! By the way, anyone know whether that's allowed? Can anyone just plonk a buoy wherever they want? I can't see why not, as a riparian owner they would have ownership of the river bed to the centre line.

ChrisB
I think I could tear myself away to cruise the Adriatic for a couple of summers. That particular boat is for sale in San Diego, so maybe I would spend a few months going out to Catalina and up the West Coast first.
