ranworthbreeze
Hello Peter, I fully agree with you. We are of an age where we all know the words used, we may have used them at work or the odd occasion when using an hammer. We however would not have done so in front of women or children, that is the difference these days anything goes, it is so sad that we hear children swearing in the street on their way to school or parents doing the same to their children. smellyloo
Swearing appears to be the least offensive act in todays polite society. So many inoffensive words are adopted by minority groups who subsequently cry wolf when said words are used publicly. I have been very careful to avoid any contentious word but it wouldn't surprise me if people took offense at the word "minority"! 1

Guest
When I studied engineering, a Bogie was an undercarriage, low truck etc. and a bogey was something to do with golf, a Colonel plus some other little things that used to amuse children

Yes I’m offended only because I’m bored, like to find offence in everything if I look hard enough, and I don’t have a life
