It looks like NYA have now completed the purchase of the old Alphacraft yard in Brundall and in recognition of Langford Jillings snr is to rename the place to Langford Harbour. A fitting tribute.

There appears to be an issue with the NYA website at this time, please try the link later.

A very fitting tribute to a Broads boating pioneer. Just a shame that the legacy was tarnished by the unfortunate events surrounding the demise of the fleet and yard. Events seemingly beyond Langford Sr's control.

I agree with VerChugger. I hired boats from Langford Snr for 4 week’s a year for almost 20 years with new boats being added almost every year. He was quite a character who as well as having a passion for boat building had a passion for renovating Jaguar cars. I am glad that NYA are naming their new venture after him and that in the future people may ask Who was Langford?
