ChrisB
Many ducks particularly Mallard will hybrid happily. There have been efforts over the years to eradicate incomers because of this. In The Lakes the Carolina or North American Wood Duck was introduced and bred like mad with the local Mallard and more recently there was a nationwide cull of Ruddy Ducks.
