There is an extremely small distance between the sources of the Little Ouse and the Waveney. Norfolk is virtually an island. It is said there were plans to canalise them together in the 1700s.

Wikipedia has this

just as I remember my Norfolk geography

The source of the River Waveney is a ditch on the east side of the B1113 road between the villages of Redgrave, Suffolk and South Lopham, Norfolk. The ditch on the other side of the road is the source of the River Little Ouse
