Wanted- Empty Propane Gas Bottles

Hi all, swopping to Propane gas and looking for empty 13kg bottles, need two and willing to pay a fair price.

Whilst here, I will be posting a slot in gas cooker & grill for sale shortly. It has 4 burners with screw down caps,  clean and in full working order when removed.

If you have butane bottles you can swap them for propane at the point of refill

Thanks, interesting that as my contact told me to find 2 empties.

We are changing everything from butane to propane so I must have exchanged a dozen or so in the last 12 months.

Not sure tbh, my gas man saw the thread and the replies and contacted me to say he was unaware of the easy swop mentioned and would ask Calor. I`ll contact you if needed and/or post the result for others to see.

Incidentally many yards no longer deal wit Calor - Flogas is becoming much more available. Quite a few of the yards have been  complaining of the poor service from Calor and no longer stock it.

Under normal circumstances, I would have suggested obtaining empty gas cylinders from your local waste recycling centre for a few pounds.You would be surprised what people throw away.

Update; As said it is a straight forward bottle swop from one type of gas to another so many thanks to those that replied your input was much appreicated as always.

I just came across this thread....I was always under the impression that Butane was supplied to the appliance @ 37mbar, whilst Propane is @ 29mbar, which would suggest that as well as swopping cylinders a regulator change is also required.
