OldBerkshireBoy
No hacking went on, more likely a new mod forgot to put a £1 in the meter. 1

grendel
we were doing a software update, it just took a little longer than usual, we keep to the latest version of the software to ensure security of the forum from hackers etc
YnysMon
That’s a relief! I was wondering if something dire had happened.

I've only recently started dabbling with Facebook, mainly because more and more businesses don't keep their Web sites up to date anymore. To date I'm strictly read only. But when I look up NBN I can only find a page with the most recent post in 2019. What am I doing wrong?

ExSurveyor
If you search norfolk broads network on facebook groups it should come up. You probably landed on the old nbn page that existed originally. I should really be capable of doing a link, but I am not
Wussername
Why are some people so against Facebook? Some people hate or mistrust it with a passion. Yet it has over 2 billion users, yes 2 billion. They cannot all be wrong surely. A vast range of local services, public services, charities, and groups of people who have a common interest all use Facebook.

ExSurveyor
Try searching the web for Norfolk broads network facebook group. The second result should take you to the group. It is a private group that you have to join. From Fb, search norfolk broads network, in full, rather than nbn.

RS2021
That link doesn't seem to display. Facebook seems to get stuck in a loop. The first page I found did have a button to join. Is it simply I have to join to see the up-to-date content, or is it a defunct page.
RS2021
I've tried pressing the sign up button in Facebook and it simply takes me out of Facebook and back to the Website.

ExSurveyor
I am not a big fan of Fb. I limit my friends to family and some forum contacts. My biggest complaint is fb insisting on showing me groups I might like. Our fb group is moderated to the same standards as the forum to weed out any rubbish or misinformation, many groups seem to have little or no moderation, these I delete. I do find it useful to keep in contact and see what the more distant branches of my family are up to.

It is too easy to hide being the anonymity of the internet but be out there to the whole world. And yes, you can say the same of this very forum, but it's reach is clearly substantially less.
