the theme this year was Broadway, and we had singers and dancers (some on stilts) , I still think the best bit was the opening with a medly of Queen songs. we were met at the door by the paparrazzi and had our pictures taken.

Maybe he’s rehearsing an audition to be the next family in the ‘Friday night dinner’ tv programme.

Actually, the pilot for FND was filmed in the house 2 doors from me - they are related to someone very involved in the show !

We saw them filming at the time, but of course didn't know what is was about then, but found out a year or so later.

The external shots for the main main show are also not that far from us - a few miles away.

Perhaps that’s where you got the idea of being regular dinner hosts from then Biker!
It would have been interesting seeing the filming.
I do find that show very funny. 
Friends of mine, for as many years as I’ve known them which is over 40, have a Saturday night get together with 2 sets of friends. Absolutely nothing gets in the way unless a wedding of holiday or similar.

Thanks to Polly for suggesting the alternate Zoom method, but as I have neither a webcam or a working microphone that may have proven difficult!

Sorry, I've tried two browsers and can't find my way past the security problem. Any ideas?

when the security notice comes up in windows.

click on advanced and selct the option to accept the risk.

i will sort the problem soon but have been having treatment today and am too tired.

So sorry, I've tried Safari and Chrome on my Mac but I don't have an option to accept the risk. 

Not to worry, hope you're ok Arthur. Your health is more important.

chrome doesnt allow you to accept the risk, it just says it wont let you go to the site.

The only way I found to get past that was using an incognito window.

Unfortunately there were insufficient numbers to run a quiz tonight.

I'm busy with Christmas celebrations next Friday so if anyone wants to step in and run a quiz you are more than welcome.

Failing that I'll try again on the 30th.
