Not quite & peaceful!

Infact it's blowing an absolute hoolie at the moment. Just waddled down the garden to check my boats, both of which are hard aground and safe & sound. Daughter's boat 'Spray' was lifted out today, thankfully, so she's no problem, cold old job that was. Anyway, where has the water gone though? It's a really low tide at the moment, must be down to the SSW wind blowing the water out of the North Sea. Bit of fishing tomorrow, low tide like this will force the pike out into open water!!

Tiz only a zepher your way just now :naughty: its 70mph plus gusts up here and NOT high water yet!

I think I am in for a very rough night of severe gales. Thank goodness for the Isle of Arran to soften the blows.

Kings Lynn ferry not running for the next three days. We've dancelled sailing today at the Nancy Oldfield Trust, However I believe the cruisers are still operating at the moment.

I follow a guy on Twitter @AlanBarrierEA and he was reporting yesterday that there would be exceptionally low tides last night / today.... "Strong SW winds expected to produce a large negative surge tonight. Will be a very low tide on the #Thames later."

Its fair wheechin doon the lum (chimney) up here just now. By my reckoning mid day to 3pm which is high water time could be really wild then.

Lovely sunny day, albeit a bit breezy, down at Barton Turf today when I went to chat to the boatyard about the work I want doing on my halfdecker this winter. Don't know what all the fuss is about?

lovely and sunny here at work, a tad chilly - especially with having the heating off all morning due to a leak being fixed, but sunny with blue skies here just off junction 29 of the M25.
