  2. We have electricity points with easily viewable trips. It is a daily winter job for Marina staff to wander up the pontoons check twice a day that no trips have occurred. I want to be able to use our ship at the drop of a hat but understand fully your reasons Dave; best of luck.
  3. MBM have a couple of video's that might be useful to those that have not winterised before. Tube heaters in the engine bay, humidifier on and use all winter that's my recipe
  4. Have enjoyed a libation from their stable now and again Just noticed they are in Suffolk... doh http://www.stpetersbrewery.co.uk/brewery/default.htm Never been but can recommend a taste
  5. John ever thought of a reverse Movember

  8. Step into the life raft as the boat goes from beneath you..... Seriously I would have been away once I knew the vessel was beyond saving. And as for that auto inflate LR
  9. Yes some recent very complimentary comments Clive.
  10. Some well made points Ian. Some clearly do with recent examples of good response; I think the case in point is one that does not.
  11. Amazing footage of a Trawler sinking off the Northern Irish coast. The crew clearly displaying the old adage of not leaving a sinking ship until the last minute http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-ireland-20125988
  12. 5 posts in different areas on the same subject....... certainly covering the options. I can't help but wonder if that certain tinned meat is a favourite food
  13. When Broads based I had Aluminium on Kiki as a compromise, particularly moored at Goodchilds. When we moved Kiki to permanent salt it was surprising how they disappeared and were quickly replace by Zinc. I would thoroughly recommend a Galvanic Isolator for what they cost, much cheaper than new stern gear. 14. I think you will find one of the following may apply surely: Or Rods rule "Might is right"
  15. Thanks Carol, great find again. Amazing to think this must have been 40 years or so again. The views across Burgh Castle have always been some of the best on the Broads in my view, the sunsets can be stunning. Aaahhhhhh.
  16. Not again! Sorry to hear that Paul and that you are still seeking recompense on the last issue. Repeat after me "when I leave my berth I must head to sea" Hope it gets sorted promptly.
  17. We have this block of flats again in May. Looking to get further south than last year http://norfolkbroadsforum.co.uk/phpBB3/ ... 1d03b1a675
  18. I will keep my eye on her on our occasional forays round to Titchmarsh! Best of luck with your new ship Paul
