  1. That's more than just store-cupboard grub, Ian, but sounds quite wonderful! Roll on the curries! :clap
  2. It's not as bad as the taste of boiled beer-line cleaner, Alan!!! :shocked
  3. We've drank water straight out of the tank for over 50 years and still live to tell the tale. In fact we still take a pint of the stuff to bed each night! :naughty:
  4. Ditto, JanetAnne, and you'll get my vote! (p.s. For a talking boat you talk more sense than our talking stuffed sheep!)
  5. Did you actually manage to get the 300 quid off them, Andy?
  6. Sounds like our Tanqueray is in for a bit of a bashing then, Ray!
  7. You really do get about, Jill, don't you? And such smashing pics too! :clap I'll contact you next time we're moored at Norwich; perhaps you'd like to take some pics if we cruise up towards the Playhouse?
  8. I guess we're all very lucky (who hire/moor here) in Brundall as we've got either Surlingham Broad or about six pubs within an hour of Brundall.
  9. In fact it was a bit of a damp sqib here in Brundall. It did rain very heavily but we weren't treated to any sort of fireworks display!
  10. When we were driving here today, Eric, I mentioned the abundance of Elderflowers............ M-J reminded me of the Elderflower Champagne she used to make in the 70's and 80's... Needless to say we'll be picking some on the way home on Sunday!
  11. Yes, she is thanks, Ray. We're just about to open a bottle of Tanqueray! (pre-Hic) Take a look at this. should hit us in half an hour..... http://www.rain-alarm.com/
  12. Lovely, absolutely lovely, Steve & Debs! :clap
  13. Well, you looked a lot better when I saw you half an hour ago, Ray!
  14. I just don't have the time now, iain, to keep up with you! Unfortunately, Iain, Am catching UP John Iain.
  15. I think that I might be able to get around him, Mark!
  16. It's nice and cool in The Yare, just now! The beer's not bad either!
  17. I've just spent a fair while searching for a pic I took in Holland back in '87. An all girl-crewed Dutch Barge, all completely starkers and not at all embarrassed by the multitude of onlookers they attracted as they came into Enkhuizen marina. I actually asked them if I might take the pic (of the lovely barge, of course!) and they were happy to stand and wave for me.....
  18. I've followed this with great interest because it's 'the peace of mind' that breakdown insurance gives Mary-Jane and me that counts most for us. We've been insured with Boulters for a few years now and called them on two consecutive days when we had an overheating problem at Oulton Broad. That's a fair old drive in midday/week traffic but they arrived within an hour on both days and sorted out the two problems we had developed. All done in a cheerful professional way. I call that service! :clap
  19. Let's not get into politics, please..................
