We've drank water straight out of the tank for over 50 years and still live to tell the tale. In fact we still take a pint of the stuff to bed each night! :naughty:
You really do get about, Jill, don't you?
And such smashing pics too! :clap
I'll contact you next time we're moored at Norwich; perhaps you'd like to take some pics if we cruise up towards the Playhouse?
When we were driving here today, Eric, I mentioned the abundance of Elderflowers............ M-J reminded me of the Elderflower Champagne she used to make in the 70's and 80's...
Needless to say we'll be picking some on the way home on Sunday!
Yes, she is thanks, Ray.
We're just about to open a bottle of Tanqueray! (pre-Hic)

I've just spent a fair while searching for a pic I took in Holland back in '87. An all girl-crewed Dutch Barge, all completely starkers and not at all embarrassed by the multitude of onlookers they attracted as they came into Enkhuizen marina.
I actually asked them if I might take the pic (of the lovely barge, of course!) and they were happy to stand and wave for me.....
I've followed this with great interest because it's 'the peace of mind' that breakdown insurance gives Mary-Jane and me that counts most for us.
We've been insured with Boulters for a few years now and called them on two consecutive days when we had an overheating problem at Oulton Broad. That's a fair old drive in midday/week traffic but they arrived within an hour on both days and sorted out the two problems we had developed. All done in a cheerful professional way.
I call that service! :clap
