  1. Excellent, I am starting my holi at Acle, so 19 half pints of diet coke should suffice then. We can't have you drinking and driving heading for Great Yarmouth now....can we? Iain.
  2. On the serious side ....first... Charlie sorry to have read a low life had removed said piece of "SAFETY" equipment. I do not have a phobia about FE's honest! The scab on my leg eventually fell off last week, 16 weeks later, just in time for my next visitation to the Broads. "Scoot" would never run away with a FE not enough room on him for that He is coming again boating, IF I can find space for him on Sparkling Horizon. Delighted that you have piece of mind for another four years, sadly with additional expense! Grrrrr! As for the wee sick lady, just you wait till we meet at a meet. You will be eating our national dish, won't you Grace? Iain
  3. Koff! I am a aficionado on fire extinguishers! Having been on nodding terms with one on holiday! Iain
  4. The pilot had just taken through one of the Broadway's, They had a couple of attempts, and failed. No pilot on board. Iain
  5. Looks like a possible result for you Monica! Iain
  6. Although this is a good to discuss issue, I still feel we should hold council till more information becomes available. Someone was injured, that in itself is bad enough. Boats can, and will be repaired. Just like the boatyard rumours, till we have the facts....... Iain.
  7. Hi Monica, Perhaps a phone call to Sky and complain may do the trick. Must be honest don't know much about Sky Yahoo. Hope you get it sorted ASAP. Iain
  8. Even they were being rejected this morning JA. The pilot took Star Gem 2 up close to the arch, then aborted transit. Iain.
  9. Oh dear....it looks like a lot of STERN words have been said! Iain
  10. Could this be it? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=95Y6iYR96QE Iain
  11. That looks very like the one "Wheeler Dealers" worked on a few series ago. Iain.
  12. Sorry JA that wasn't a rant THAT was common sense talking IMHO!!! Iain.
  13. Hi Ian, I was trying to remember boats moored stern on up at Hickling, but the only ones that I can think of were at Whispering Reeds yard. Iain
  14. Before the flats were built Howard, there were a fair number of trees as you entered the P&H yard.
  15. Oh just seen Howard's remarks, agree it looks too narrow a river for Surlingham Ferry. Iain
  16. There looks like something across the river. My first thought was The New Inn, Horning being many years ago. My second was The Kings Head, Wroxham. Could be wide of the mark though. Iain
  17. Nasty indeed Alan. Fingers crossed you get it all resolved to your satisfaction very soon! Iain
  18. Found it, it was Bolero. http://www.thenorfolkbroads.net/forum/topic/3044-bolero/?do=findComment&comment=44145 Iain
  19. Was it not Carousel or Bolero ended up with the bow crunched in? Iain.
  20. Maybe best not to pre judge ? Iain.
  21. Troon is notorious for windy days, you can pass a relation on the street and not recognise them as the head is down holding yer bunnet! As for a weather check...Ailsa Craig. If he's got oan his tie its gonnae be DRY...if he's got oan his Hat, its gonnae be WAT! (Wet) Iain
