  1. A Slow Cooker, Neil. They are not high wattage, very low in fact, and you could have a stew or curry ready to serve after your days cruising. Iain.
  2. On Android, Google mail has changed to receive it I think. I added my old AOL email addy then their app to my Galaxy and have no problem with receiving emails. Iain

  4. Having met that lot head on a few years ago, especialy when they are waiting at the Reedham Swing Bridge! I saw the first of many about a mile from Berney Arms. Ok Doug, question, what is all the paper and pencil brigade sitting at the flood wall at Reedham doing regarding all the flappy things, please? I was lucky I managed to find the second last mooring that day at Reedham. Iain.
  5. I too have Sat Nav...just how I get my Renault Scenic TomTom onto the boat I am not quite sure! Iain.
  6. For those of you travelling from the North, like me, we have used the Premier Inn at Kings Lynn, (West Lynn) three times now, and is handy for Sainsbury's for breakie in the morning. You have the choice of going cross country or on the A47, to reach your designated Boatyard. We took the scenic route in May to avoid Postwick roadworks, and drove through Melton Constable, a lovely village. Iain.
  7. OK ...The Q...I give up!!! How did you heat it on this?

  11. JM, ta you have just given me an idea for future years with "Scoot" Iain
  12. Grace, That sounds very like a couple who had hired from Alan Johnson's. They used the car for the rest of the week, just slept on board. Iain
  13. There was Big John, Wee John, Over John and Under John, and all the rest were John, John, John. That should have cleared things up for you MM. Iain..... Gaelic for yup you've guessed it...John!
  14. I see he has dropped out of the O2 end of season event. A wise move, he doesn't exactly need the money! All those going to Ghent have a great time I say! It won't be easy, Goffin is a very accomplished player. But I still think we can win over there. Iain
  15. Ok Neil. here is your coatNow, how do you bake an Android! Iain
  16. Hmmm just caught up with this thread. Marina be careful the BBC Golf Film team use those contraptions, they will be signing you up for a job on them! First place I saw them was in Paris! As for that cheeky son of yours, perhaps a warning point is called for, to show respect to his parents! Iain.
  17. Now the fun begins Ian. The final is in Belgium I believe, so could very well be played on a indoor clay court? Hmmm a horrible surface. I hope not though. Iain
  18. All the Aston Concorde and Thames Class boats had a bow flag to assist you with going through bridges, very handy it was too. Iain.
  19. And deffo does not have a head for heights! Iain
  20. This was my first ever Diesel car I have owned when I acquired it through Motability last year. I drove years ago, hire Transit vans that were diesel and agree were real noisy smokers. When I test drove my Renault Scenic DCi I was amazed how quiet it was, and at motorway speed, you cannot hear the engine at all. For the size of the engine, it is nippy and that is a big MPV car. I got it firstly as the boot is huge and takes my mobile scooter with space to spare. Iain.
  21. Its enough to make you weep JM. What a waste of Toll payers money! Iain
  22. It was where the door handles were that caught my eye. Geoff. and the running board. I am still convinced its early 20's with the ladies dress attire. Iain
  23. This car company is from that era. http://www.crossley-motors.org.uk/history/1920.html
  24. At 6ft4" Air Draft you should excuse the pun, sail through Wroxham Bridge,( just make sure you are centre) more often than many when high tides there. Before the powers that be forced us hirers to use a Pilot I often took my hire boat through with the gauge showing a lot less than 7ft 3". There is a bit of give in that height gauge how much is open to discussion! Iain
  25. Grace, There has to be a reply to a black belted spider, but just for now, canny think of one! Iain
