  1. WE widny dae that noo fellas wid we now? WE are VERY law abiding Grace, so long as you awe behave yersels on here! Iain.
  2. I don't Mark! Without my Renault Scenic cdi I would have struggled to drive home after the holiday. When much younger I drove yon posh Citreon with the air suspension, it was the quietest car I ever drove, till the one I have just now, and its Diesel! It wasn't mine, but it was a certain TV doctor's brothers Iain.
  3. Alex, I wilny hawd it against you, Lanarkshire husny been fully Burns Initiated...yet! I widny worry yon whisky you mention is yon nice Irish stuff, not quite richt fur Haggis. Personally I blame yer skool teachers! Iain.
  4. I canny get anymore patriotic than having this as a guid standby! Iain.
  5. As there are no more Tax Discs. Mine lasts as it is till August. I intend to put my National Trust for Scotland Parking Sticker where the Tax Disc was. The windscreen won't look naked! Iain.
  6. Best tell the staff FIRST ...MM, both engineers whacked it when they came to do repairs! Iain.
  7. Its ok Gracie, no worries . Just fed up not being able to drive my car. At least I get to watch England trying to play cricket Iain.
  8. Grace, at that age all I knew was I was on a big boat! That FE has cost Richos a customer, ME! I have been stuck in the house now for a fortnight, the leg is taking ages to heal up. Iain.
  9. Ditto John, But it was a very low tide that evening, onto yer bahoochie to get back on board. The quay heading is higher there, than at the village quay I think. I would not attempt it now though. Iain.
  10. Perhaps the Fire Extinguisher was blocking the signal!!!! Iain.
  11. I have moored once outside The Ship, well, light was fading! The one thing you require to do because of where the mooring posts are, is keep checking the fall or rise. Also the same for getting back on later. This was many years ago on a Bermuda 34' I left at slack water, but would imagine it could prove interesting at times! Iain.
  12. Be gentle with him John, he is still a bit green under the gills! Iain
  13. Ok Marina, where is the parrot on Ian's shoulder? Iain
  14. Hi Slowhand, Welcome to the NBN friendly Forum . As you can see, Alan doesnt need any excuse to stop at a pub, open or closed! Iain.
  15. Hi Tim, Boyes is an amazing store sells everything as you say. We have used them in Bridlington and Beverley. I go to Hornsea Freeport when down in Yorkshire, and find Leading Labels do a very good light weight Farah trouser for about £25.00p. Iain.
  16. Dinny lol too much young Alan....it could be YOU one day instead! THEN there will be no controlling Gracie Iain
  17. Agreed Jonathan, Tim is a very astute gentleman, and I haven't met him ...yet! On a lighter note, nurse (SWMBO) may require a wee bit coaxing, and then I will break ranks and join you pair for a wee bit swally!!! Iain.
  18. 9/4 on..... Blue Nun I would say Alan Iain
  19. Just to wish you every success with your new website Carol. I am sure it will be well viewed across the www. Iain.
  20. We only go off topic here once or twice a day, well err hour....minute.....second..... you'll soon get the idea Jas. Iain.
  21. Hi Alan, Can't remember which Brinks boat Robin was on, but it had a planing hull and did the cha cha cha across the rivers in a crosswind. I have to say, that was one thing that surprised me about Broadway, even in those very strong to gale force winds, for a bathtub it stayed remarkably straight! So next time, rebuild a bathtub , well you WILL be older by then! Iain.
  22. It depends what you quantify as "old bits on the wall" young Alan. Not photos of older members of this Forum!! Iain.
  23. MM said..... Only ONE pub! MM... you do surprise me
  24. Do take care Grace, ideas like that can become very HABIT forming! Well its friday!!! Iain.
