  1. Just found this...... http://www.eafa.org.uk/catalogue/192 Iain
  2. Hmmm now the old grey cells are spinning with this one. Was it the Loaves and Fishes, Caxton Arms or somewhere else in town, possibly Poolcraft office, but I have seen pics of that regatta somewhere there, many years ago. As for those numbers, it sure does sound high. Never knew Suffolk had that many residents! Perhaps Carol has info on this one? Iain.
  3. Hi Smelly, Are you sure you have looked in the right place? I see you are from Norwich, have you forgotten you are back in the Premier League. Try in there. you may find one of Gracies jokes Hers are mostly Daily Telegraph / The Times level! Iain.
  4. Ah...yes....that quote of mine was a wee bit engineered But, I am sure Griff will agree its the best Power Unit! Buy Brittish I say! Iain.
  5. Welcome aboard Jas to the NBN friendly Forum. I am sure you will find a wealth of tips etc, not to mention a fair bit of banter as well. Iain
  6. There will be several boats over at Lake Loathing will be delighted I am sure! Iain
  7. MM? I would have thought, as you are moored the OTHER side of That Bridge, you still operate in semaphore or smoke signals! Anyway yon bloke Lincoln was bumped off years n years ago! Iain.
  8. Smellyloo.....we don't call her Silent but Violent for nothing in the Mods Team. Be very careful indeed! Iain.
  9. My mate has a brand new Caravan/ Lodge its over 13ft wide at Haggerston Castle, on a prime site, and its a lot more than £3k a year. His residence comes with all mod cons, and summat. Mood lighting breakfast bar dishwasher/ washing machine etc etc. I am amazed what they can produce out of a tin box, However, when it comes to what I call real craftmanship, boat building is in a class of its own IMHO. Hence the costs are much more as there are so many different shapes and sizes to consider and fit in. My only concern at present is, very few, if any smaller craft are being built. Swancraft do/did have several smaller boats. so hopefully will remain in hire fleets, but I have my doubts. Iain.
  10. Maybe be BETA to change it then Iain.
  11. This tune played on an unusual instrument...enjoy! Iain.
  12. Double whammy for you Ian. Premiership victory and the scum locked up! Results! Now if we could get that son of yours to appreciate Gracies jokes, then all would be wonderful! Iain.
  13. I thought it was the Recruiting Sergeant at Coltishall that had acquired it? Looking at all the beams in the pics Howard, its always difficult at first look see if they are supporting or just for show. If supporting, I would imagine an architect would like to see original drawings IF available still as altering such a building could prove somewhat difficult to do. I.E Planning permission! I would guess its a listed building level two or three. My guesses are just that, and I could be well wide of the mark. Just what I have come across in working in old buildings like the Lord Nelson. Iain.
  14. Thank you, Mark, much appreciated. Yes its a very bad one, shins never heal quickly, or don't as you grow older I guess. Iain.
  15. Errrr funny you should say that Mark ....errrrr...Nope.... yer safe here, maybe Griff retiled the floor though? Iain.
  16. Mark, Scoot has been redundant since my return home. I spend the day just now on my recliner with sair leg resting on an old pillow. I dinny do accidents by halfs The quicker this heals, the better i'll be..... back on Scoot! Iain.

  18. The only boating I did as a kid was on the Paddle Steamer, Waverley, and the two other "doon the water" steamers that sailed around the Firth of Clyde, Duchess of Montrose and Hamilton. Great days out they were. Iain.
  19. Hmm you should have bought the PINK fenders, Alan, after all Iain.
  20. As we all know, or should, start up registry has a very bad habit of slowing things down. There are free progs to eradicate these things, but I personally use one I bought a few years back called System Mechanic. It certainly keeps my lappy up to speed. I do hope you get it all sorted ASAP. Iain
  21. Hmmm she didn't to you Mark, awe, maybe next time! Iain.
