  1. Was that the end that was bombed in WW2? Never seen it like that before. Thanks for sharing the pics. Iain
  2. Hear, hear, David, I cannot understand WHY that brilliant book was stopped! A wealth of information that booklet was. A similar section in your "Magazine" BowWave would be very advantageous I think. Iain.
  3. Agatha Christie..... The Lady Vanishes comes to mind! It was there, a pic of the boat Am not losin my marbles...am I? Iain.
  4. Hi young Alan, As David says, nice grain there for the varnish to show up. All these touches make all your work worth while. Soon a steering wheel will be on, and the pair of you will be itching to get it into the watery stuff! Iain.
  5. This is one that has done the rounds, but still one of my favourites. http://www.jacquielawson.com/preview.asp?cont=1&hdn=0&pv=3111930&path=83563 Iain.
  6. Note to Jonzo....where is the Mistletoe Emot? It would keep Grace& Lori busy for hours! Iain.

  8. They need some of that long lasting paint used on the Forth Railway Bridge, to keep that "Angel of the North" rust free! Iain.

  11. Remember after the third bottle of wine Grace, you eat the Chocs....NOT the slippers! Iain.
  12. Coooeeee If England are trying to play with bat n ball I may get to Chester le Street Iain.
  13. JM, The one thing I remember about Beccles in my early years of holidaying was, the queues of craft from Rowancraft,Poolcraft and Hippersons waiting for the tide to fall at the Old Bridge. We had been waiting to top up fuel at Astons, but it was the "afternoon tea break" ALL 45 minutes of it! Once through that bridge, its one of my favourite parts of the Broads. Iain.
  14. Hi Marina, As Grace says there is a beta software test going on, but maybe you have clicked summat off to stop your avatar. Hopefully Jonzo will be along to help you soon. Iain.
  15. Hi Barnes B Welcome to the NBN forum. As already said, its good to see another hireyard on here. We hope you will have input from time to time. Iain.
  16. Grace, The members on this forum are exemplary well most are, well some are, nearlly all are, I think, there again hmmmmm Nah they are angels, arn't they? Iain.
  17. Yes, it sure does. Simple solution. Don't drink if driving the following morning. Or if caught doing so, suffer the consequences. Iain.
  18. Nice craft Neil, but nah I canny see SWMBO loupin off the bow to moor up. A deffo ankle breaker Iain.
  19. Hi all, I read somewhere on here that the place is getting a revamp, I wonder if they will repair or have they already done so their own mooring area? With the loss above the Railway Briadge of some of the moorings, I would have thought it would be advantageous to the Pub/Hotel to bring their moorings back up to scratch. Iain.
  20. Lots of "Happy Snappers" please next year, or this year, whats left of it, if you are lucky enough to be out on the rivers this winter. Iain.
  21. Dave, You would need to contact Police Scotland for that one. I am sure there will be someone who will be driving illegaly up here, in the same way as it stands now the 80mg law in England catches a number the following morning. Personally, I agree with the new law, having witnessed a drink driving related accident. I do however feel, lets leave the Broads as they are, there will always be the ejit who goes OTT, its the nature of the beast as they say. I brought the new law to the attention of all for that specific reason if you are crossing the border today. Best to be forewarned than left to find out when its too late IMHO. Iain.
  22. Hi All, Just in case any of you are driving up over the border or flying and hiring a car, a wee reminder, that as of midnight tonight the new drink-driving law in Scotland comes into force . The new limit being 50mg not 80mg. Oh and as a wee add on, remember its 5p now for a polly bag too up here! Iain.
  23. Hi Martin, I know ALL about lotions n creams being a chronic Psoriasis sufferer :naughty: Some folks take the hump, I get the itch! grrrrrr! lol Iain.
