  1. Hi Mike, Welcome to the NBN Forum . Sounds like a plan for next year. When SWMBO was teaching it was Easter week, a fortnight in the summer, early July, and the second week in October. Iain
  2. That sounds like a pair of Gracies dancing shoes !
  3. The biggest problem as Howard (Norfolk Nog) will tell you, is finding a boatyard that hire out of season. Iain
  4. Any hire craft I have been on in the past 10 years or so have a fixed locked open window very close to the cooker in the galley. This does not mean to say that somebody on a hire boat may attempt to block such a draft!. Also, last thing at night before retiring to bed, I turn the gas tap at the cooker off ! Iain
  5. A quiet weekend right enough...... NOT ! Will some ever learn to keep to the speed limits? Answers in a box of miracles!!! Iain
  6. These days its errr played by overpaid millionaires, not tanner baw players wi flat caps. I was lucky enough to see the greats of the fifties and 60s, too many to mention!!! Iain
  7. When in doubt Neil ask the Ranger at Reedham or Phone GY Yacht Station for an accurate timing. Iain
  8. Bars were open at 9am on match day! Crazy!
  9. What a difference !!! Well done to all concerned. Iain
  10. Hi Neil, If you get through PH Bridge, then yes. Horsey staithe is your place to go. Its years since we legged it there to see the seals, and you should from memory pass a smashing pub as well. Well can't have you walking on empty....can we? Iain
  11. Wise words Chris. Or put another way, money well spent ! Iain
  12. Indeed Polly, most disconcerting.
  13. I could nick 11kv worth of power Mike, but I don't think Scottish Power would be over happy !
  14. Noooo Polly, he THINKS he has !
  15. Hi Folks, Very sorry, somehow while deleting my last op on the light thread, I have inadvertingly deleted the whole thread. Sorry ! Iain
  16. That is how the Scottish Airshow was presented over the weekend last year, on the seafront at Ayr Beach/Low Green I hope it comes to fruition there. Fingers crossed. Iain
  17. Ohhh press button B!!! John ! Thanks for that. Where is it? Please.
  18. On the rail line between London Victoria and Gatwick is a yard with hundreds of the old Red Phone Boxes. I do hope someone has told them we are now using cell phones instead! Still, I suppose they can still be used for props in films! Iain
  19. Hi mrwiggly, Welcome to the NBN Forum I think you will find the information you require, has been kindly supplied by Strowager. Happy engine changing ! Iain
  20. As soon as I saw the match was being played in Marseille, I feared the worse, as already said, not a place for a quiet weekend, never mind an international match there. On Sky News you saw some poor sod being hit over the head with a chair ! Shocking stuff. What is really sad, is, we are typing about the violence, and not the game, which England deserved to win ,but didn't, thanks to a looping last minute header. I now expect a lot of sickies for Thursday afternoon! Could be one hellova game. To get back to Gracie's original post, I hope you and the family still had a guid night watching the match ! Iain
  21. Hi Andy and Julie, Welcome to the NBN Forum I hope you have many happy times on your own boat. Iain
  22. You wuz robbed, Grace.
  23. As you can see dear members, we have some who go that extra mile to be considerate to others....eh Doug! Iain
  24. Aye Alan, naw its a fair scunner! Have tried on several occasions without success! Iain
