I used to see lots of stuff at the RSC as a student. He was part of the company then but playing small roles. I used to hope he was not in the cast because when on stage he was totally magnetic and meant the main action was sidelined. This was not deliberate, no ‘actor tricks’ just 100% committed performance. They soon promoted him to leading roles! I saw him and Ian McKellan in ‘Waiting for Godot’ at MK, Helen, did you catch that? It was brilliant.

I tried to get a haggis but failed, we had the neeps In a beef stew but no tatties on account of the diet! Fond remembrance of the Pesky Mod.

Ohhh this turns out to be a Trekkie Feast! Great writing, great performances, great production values. Engage!

Thursday, silver work. One pendant for lovely niece, two pairs of earrings for darling daughter and one fat robin pendant for me for wearing around Christmas. Also one silver blob that was meant to be one of the earrings and that I melted. Friday sewing with friends, this involved croissants and pastries for breakfast, ( did I mention I was on a diet?) and Coronation Chicken lunch with Eton Mess to follow. And yes, we did sew! Two dresses were completed for an Africa Charity. Today, avoided the scales!

Chris B and Vaughan both are a loss. I fail to see what is gained here or in the general life of The Broads by obsessively ranting against the BA’s leadership. I know there is a problem re. National Park but the answer does not lie here in any meaningful way.

A very personal opinion. You know, there are issues that have been highlighted, fine. But! Lately the Forum is being turned into a non-stop negative rant and that is: a. Undermining valid opposition b. Devaluing the NBN as a potential lobby on the very issues at stake c. Devaluing the NBN as a place people can come to to celebrate the Broads I buy objectivity and prefer constructive debate. We can do better than this.

It would be very good. I think that while a lot of members are digging in to the whole BA thing, there are a lot who come to the Forum for more light hearted discussion.
