OMG Mick that is a fantastic fish, makes my PB look like a minnow ha ha. If I hooked something like that it would probably frighten me half to death, how long did it take to land it and how much did it weigh? Well bloody done Grace

Hi Mick We are also anglers and fish local lakes that are not affected by the closed season, would never dream of breaking the rules and fish rivers in that time. I see that you carp fish with boilies, we fished a local lake the other week and I caught my record carp of 13 pounds and 7 ounces, I was so excited but made a bit of a mess getting it to the bank and my arm ached afterwards Lol, I caught it on a size 14 hook with maggot as bait, luck rather than skill me thinks. Grace

This is a smashing read and must admit to feeling a little envious. Always wanted to moor past the pubs at Coltishall, it's so beautiful there. I am on a health kick at the moment so please don't tell us what you had for lunch Lol Grace

Have just been watching the web cam and witnessed the babies being fed with what looked like a dead mouse or rat or something, absolutely amazing. Grace

Hi Alan (JawsOrca) Things did'nt go according to plan regarding cruising unfortunately, but ended up at the semi waterside one as you described, as it wasn't too far from the marina and bloody hell we should have taken body guards in with us. My husband is a 3rd Dan Black belt in Shotokan Karate and he felt intimidated lol The Malta Inn is lovely we went there a couple of years ago by car, hopefully if things go according to plan next time we will give it a go. Thank you for great advice regarding Moorings and the locks, very helpful, we went through the lock just before THAT pub and had a good laugh if I am honest, I actually came out of the cabin Grace

Alan (Ranworth Breeze), I will come out of the cabin when we are safely through the locks, but will probably have to have a glass or two of wine to steady my nerves and just watching those boys work the lock is exhausting Grace

Alan, I think I know the one you mean we have a friend of a friend who fell in at that lock, to make matters worse it was a hot day and people were enjoying the weather watching the boats go through the lock, luckily he wasn't hurt but extremely embarrassed. I think that's probably the reason I hide in the cabin ha ha. Grace

Thanks once again, will phone Bridge Boatyard and maybe head that way if we can bag a mooring. Know what you mean about the locks, having said that hubby and sons do all the work I just Hide in the cabin lol. Grace
