Hi Gracie. I'm just too old to run for the hills. I'll just have another drink and bloody sulk

Anyone looking for a day boat on the Broads? On e bay no. 325991793257 there is a Seamaster 20feet day boat complete with small inboard diesel engine. Looks cheap to me with a buy it now price. Definately worth a look if you are interested in buying one. I had a good look but according to shmbo I am not interested! Just to add. I have NO connection with the seller.

Oops! Must try harder!

I thought it was now made illegal to offer a new customer better terms than an existing one? Obviously I'm wrong. It really should be stopped

The wife had cover with that 'green' company. She only called them out once when she had a puncture on her XC90 and could'nt release the spare. When they tried to renew it it had gone up considerably. When asked why thet said "you called us out last year" - policy not renewed. Now have AA for all vehicles with mechanical cover

I got rid of the last boat some years ago but have kept the alcohol problem!

Are there not quieter pumps on the market which you could maybe replace yours with if the noise eventually gets on your nerves? Otherwise great to hear its all OK
-
I hear what you are saying - but what would you suggest they do then?

Get well soon

When we ran a business we had a severe problem with British Gas and sometimes had four calls a day from I assume somewhere in Asia. It was hard to identify what they were saying and Assume reading from a script sheet. Did'nt sort out the problem. Just wound me up more and more on a daily basis.

Some neighbours can be a real pita. I have one that appears to be 10x worse than yours! And no, we have never done anything to upset him

We hired the smaller picnic boat from Simpsons. Just two of us and a mutt. Wanted something that was like a 'proper' boat with a loo (which we never used!). It did have a 'fridge and one of the noiseiest small diesel engines fitted under the bow! Apart from the noise it did the job.

Save it and give it to him next year
-
Great news. Thanks

Sorry. Bit thick. Whats a PRV

I wonder what those 'birds' look like now?
-
We were there earlier this year - but by car not on foot! Good booze and food
-
You are quite right of course but being so long ago I had forgot that!

Ahh - Red Barrell. In truth it was probably s..t but who cared (or knew better) when young!

Excuse me but where did I say I argued with the customer. As I said, the customer is always right. Advising him to try and save money is not right then?

I ran a SEAT dealership set up on the day they started in this country. We had a lot of happy customers. One of them was an ex Army Officer. Lovely guy and quite elderly. He did'nt do a great mileage but insisted on a full service every six months. It did not matter how many times I told him he was wasting his money - he insisted. Customer was always right.

Bit bloody late now! But thanks anyway
-
How strange. A bloody great boat like that and you are allowed more on a picnic boat!

I can see that getting damaged by a few "yuppy types" thay would think it was OK unfortunately. Good luck!
