  1. I sometimes miss the boats we have owned on the 'Broads' and other waterways but not so sure now.
  2. I really do hope you hav'nt spoken too soon!
  3. I think the stern drive might put people off. If they know what they are looking for a shaft drive will be preferable. Just my opinion though!
  4. Oh why not. At least Gracie won't mind
  5. Well I am so sorry. It was meant to be a sensible question that I and maybe others might have been interested in. I really don't think i'll bother again
  6. So a new build comming up then? How long from start to finish?
  7. Bloody hell! There is someone older than me (just) on here. Enjoy. I do
  8. I would expect two bottles at those prices!
  9. Why don't you phone the yard and ask them?

Must have been too cheap then? Warranty not a lot of use now then
  11. Just got back from one of our weekly breaks in Norfolk. Took a chance as when I booked it there were no 'photos as it was a new listing. Based in Neatishead it proved to be amazing and well worth the experience. If any of you are like us and don't boat in Norfolk anymore I would be pleased to give details if you pm me. Whilst there I was lucky to have a look around the Sheerline boatyard. What an experience. Gary Applegate showed me round and I had a close look at the current boat they are building - a 30' aft cockpit due to be delivered in a few weeks time. What suprised me is that 50% of their work now comprises working on other peoples boats. It appears Gary is happy to quote for all and any type of work. I have witnessed the quality of work and if you need anything done I reccomend them. Happy to give details if you want to pm me. I must add that I have no business connection with these people, just feel they are more than worthy of a mention.
  12. I can see now why that boat in Stalham don't get used! Well done
  13. Hi. Welcome to the forum. We are staying in Neatishead for a week fron next Saturday but not on a boat I'm afraid. If you happen to be in the White Horse there I might buy you a drink! Have a great time.
  14. Especially on first start up in the morning!
  15. We all have memories to think back on but my most memorable was being moored somewhere like Herbert Woods on the first Sunday morning with a number of other hireboats and all of us seemingly cooking our first egg and bacon meal on board with the smell drifting over the boatyard - magic!
  16. The B.A. will be giving you a job - unpaid of course.
  17. Yes I have - but they are still attached to the bottles! Sorry, I thought it was funny, but have just got back fro the pub. Thats my excuse!

Wise words, thank you. I'll bet you changed insurers after that? You just don't know how good they are until you have to make a claim. Fortunately I never had to.
  19. My Seamaster 30 was also 8'6". Went through a couple of times at low water but was always a squeeze!
  20. It would probably benefit them to get the record straight - Go for it
  21. Folkestone high tide was 11.14 today. Does that help?
