A well know member on here with more year’s experience than I care to remember was ask at Ranworth by the Ranger last year if he was a first timer as he could hear the engine revving. The fact he didn’t touch the throttle and was being pulled in on the ropes was laughable.
Having just completed on the purchase of our new boat. Not quite worked out the commute but that’s a small problem.

We replaced a 32 year old boiler two weeks ago as part of the kitchen refit, it still worked but spares are no longer available and was very inefficient. The new Valliant boiler is much quieter and the house gets warmer sooner. We had a 35 btu before now have a 17btu one so it’s cheaper to use. Total cost £2200 including the electrician to wire a new feed.
You are lucky, the Rico’s boat next to us have started his engine 5 times now and he’s only been here 30 minutes, Hele had a word and calm now restored.
I did read the advert recently for the Liana trip boat operator will also collect mooring fees, help with boats mooring and cover the visitors centre when required.
Not sure they can justify the £10 fee to cover staffing costs when they are expected to cover other roles as well.
No it’s definitely British. Opened rear passenger door light comes on, close door light stays on. Open door light on close door light still on, turn off car and restart light goes off. Number 2. Start car dash all lit. Put car into drive dash goes blank, turn off car and restart dash comes back on into drive and dash stays on what the flip !!!!
We were out two weekends ago and the heating went on at 11-00 Friday morning and didn't go off until Sunday afternoon. I normally turn the thermostat down to around 12 at night. Its easier to just keep the chill off rather than letting the boat go cold and having to warm it up again.
