To be honest with you Howard the only yard we haven't use is Martham and there isn't a yard I could not- not recommend - we have always been treated very well ,normally its just the two of us so we have always hired what suited but there is talk of a mass family holiday of 3 possibly 4 bigger boats if so I would prefer to use one yard in the five years I had my own boat ....no one was interested ??? finny

Clive for the benefit of future customers (myself included ) do you charge a extra cleaning fee for our four legged friends - I notice some yards charge an extra small charge up to £35 to cover additional cleaning which doesn't seem unreasonable to me ? fidofin

Interesting point Jeff ,I think the keeping boats clean is something most yards as a whole have taken into account when either re-fitting or new build - very easy clean wood effect flooring we found was a big plus for us after walking up and down muddy banks which cant be helped after a spot of bad weather - certainly much better than carpets in terms of being clean and holding smells finny

There is a lot of very good decent people between the forums and that should always be remembered ,personally I don't feel like a defector and I did not feel the need to come here and reinvent myself .......I was also very grateful for the warm welcome I got here ,my sentiments are up there with Strowys more so after years of being on hand when the forum need financial help......I was not happy so very quietly I left broads forums should be informative about the area and what folk are doing - if you truly love the broads and surrounding area encouraging and backing local businesses should be at the fore front in your mind ,and I hate to say it but the other forum is almost cancer like to that ,and there is nothing wrong in a serious debate conducted with respect rather than fanning the flames .........and they are out there finny these days stays away from the verbal handbag scraps - I find I enjoy more ........I also likes a bit of humour ......even though it can be a bit thin on the ground with some thanks for everything Finny XXXX ( see I even give you kisses )
