  1. Welcome from me can' help with that boat before we had our own boat, hired many times from Silverline and as Jay said well maintained boats always look clean and Brundall a good place to start we are moored just up from them at Cove. Some great pubs near by.The ferry house at Surlingham,Coldham hall also Surlingham, waters edge Bremerton. The white horse Chedgrave. All great pubs also the Yare at Brundall a bit old school but a great pub always busy. Best wishes Ian
  2. Have been going since 2009,Very much up and down.Overall was disappointed this year. Each year we tend to spend a fair bit. This year we were after a table for the boat. The company that we had seen and liked in other years was not there. This year we did not spend much.I think five days is to little also need to get the balance right.Just because it's London we all don't have 5 mill to spend.More starter boats, encourage more hire companies. Rics boats are always there and the guys and girls are great still need more there.London need a boat show. Its does need smart thinking

    Bye Bye

Interesting post.To sum up it's about saying hello and goodbye.
  9. I always enjoy seeing old photos,Sadly some parts of the coast have disappeared. Many parts of the broads have not changed guess that's part of the reason we love the broads.

    Bye Bye

So to sum up JK said bye bye. Then followed by 80 posts some of which saying there is a trend where people feel they have no choice but to leave. Many have said also what in general it is a good forum, which I agree to.Many times when members have a problem others offer without question help. What I would like to end with this post is,if you think you are picked on is raise it with mods or just raise it with members.Perhaps this thread has run it's course
  11. Great pics not sure, sure someone like Peter mat be able to help.Dont feel bad don't forget Uncle Albert got sunk more then once in dry dock. Ian

    Bye Bye

Another trend seems to be people have not liked the fact others have disagreed with them then dicide to leave.I just don't get it.Over time I have disagreed with others.Thats what it's all about. As for many leaving in recent times many people have joined and some have left.As I said before leaving just give it time before doing so.
  13. Don't think so Jay.We have lots locally these were in, I think two fields some looked like Suffolk punches which are fairly rare.
  14. Last weekend we travelld around on the Acle straight we noticed a large number of horses.Perhaps not unusual, but never noticed them there before. Now close to me A2/M25,there are a number of fields with horses and always have been. The group of horses were close to Gt Yarmouth and seemed to be well looked after.Out if interest does any one know anything about them. Ian

    Bye Bye

It is sad if people wish to go I for one will stay come what may.I have said many times. The purpose of a forum is to at times debate and do so in a grown up fashion. Its also true lately there at times been a worrying trend to take times personally. My advice to those that wish to leave, take a step back and take time before leaving.
  16. Welcome from me to best wishes Ian
  17. Welcome from me to,any boating trips planned?. Best wishes Ian
  18. to the Forum from me.Lets hear a little about yourself. Ian
  19. I would speak to them in the morning if I was you
  20. It's a shame that the Brundall boat show is close to the Horning boat show. We are based at Cove and would like to go to the Brundall boat show. Sadly unable will be up bank holiday weekend. Perhaps the powers to be could arrange a bit more of a gap between the two.
  21. For me it's a bit of both, take Sunday for example we took the boat out for the day.We both looked forward to it and the day did not disappoint. We never lose our love of the broads either. It's been said by many it's like a bug.The funny thing to is, I have had a few flying lessons and get almost the same feeling.
