    Dog Poo Bags

beats the plastic bucket hanging off the back of a jointers tow bar.
  2. I think its the saily assisting the other boat, not t'other way around.
  3. are you just right clicking then paste - or ctrl V. if its links or such, then you need to highlight, and right click - copy (or ctrl C) then come into the text area, make sure the little line indicating you can type is visible and right click, paste (or ctrl V) let me know how you get on.
  4. and now its monsoon season - well judging by the rain today.
  5. you should have called it Bear, Then RT would have a bear behind.
  6. a bit of glue and a few nails should sort it out.
  7. hmm the washed out ones didnt improve much, here they are anyway as they show the bow wave. I did notice on this run that forward there were only about 6 steps in the speed, and it maxed out well before getting to full stick, so I reversed the wiring, and reversed the direction of operation, and now the more steps are in the forward direction, while reverse has the fewer steps. here is some video too, the model makes fleeting appearances.
  8. all great ideas, but now unnecessary, after slaving over the motor swap for a couple of hours, just after 5pm I loaded up again, and had a quick half hour at the boating pond, success, the bow wave is quite large at full speed, this is just faster than a walking pace, to be honest I dont think I will get much more out of her, without getting a lot more power into the water. as for cooling, there is no space under the motor to fit a water jacket, but that too is not necessary any more, the bigger motor was barely breaking a sweat, this motor has a built in fan for cooling. i need to tweak the pictures, I used the wrong camera setting so they are a bit washed out - aw heck I will put them in. I also need to save some pictures my daughter took on her phone on the first session.
  9. right - just back from testing, and one pleasing result was that she was faster, the downside is the motor is still getting very hot however, so the next step is to go to a bigger motor - its not higher revving, just more torque, so it should expend less effort to move the prop in the water, so the motor should not get so hot - more work to be done and more testing next weekend. next to make a motor bracket. the downside is a higher current consumption.
  10. you get the discount by being able to hire out of season, during the cheaper weeks.
  11. mmh tasting good so far, I did the belly pork on a tray in the oven, but following your advice the meat was allowed to come up to room temperature, and I seasoned it before cooking and gave it 10 minutes, instead of just frying the onions and making apple sauce with the apple, I combined the two into a very nice sauce. the potato was microwaved for 10 minutes, then had the last 20 minutes in the oven to crisp up. The belly pork had 30 minutes and is perfectly cooked, still moist, Its amazing - just using some of your tips has improved my cooking. Thank you
  12. this evening as a bit of a homage to your pork chops I had an attempt at cooking, instead of pork chops I used belly pork, alongside that it was a jacket potato, and a sauce made from onions and an apple, fried up,then a little water added and a chicken stock cube. just about to sit down and eat it, but the sauce tasted good when I licked the spoon after serving.
  13. do you run adblock plus, this may be disabling the youtube channels
  14. I will put you out of your misery, its for my cordless drills (ok there is one corded drill too). I have added a shelf to the wall for spare batteries, router bits and chargers. A good days work.
  15. check the plugins in firefox, one may be stopped or need updating.
  16. have you tried restarting your computer / device, it may be that flash or whatever is used to show youtube has failed and needs restarting.
  17. I thought rather than clutter up the model thread, I would create a new topic for the projects to improve the workshop. So todays project is started, the wood has been cut to size, and then slowly built up, glued and screwed, this has had a piece of 2" x2" screwed and glued to the top, this will assist its being fixed under the open part of the bench and will provide a handy storage place, now my question, what will live in here?
  18. this may be controversial, but everyone was complaining that there werent enough places close to the yards for hirers to moor up on their first night, and how all the moorings were full, so hirers were running in the dark, well now there is another option, not more than an hour or so from Wroxham. for a nominal charge. fair enough if you dont want to use it, that will leave it free for those late starters from wroxham. a parking meter is easily recognisable by just about everyone, and most know how to use one. costs (as opposed to having a human collecting the fees) are minimal.
  19. probably, but falling leaves in autumn.... Rhubarb is deciduous - right?
  20. the way I see it, if the rudder bearings were able to be inspected, they must have been more easily accessed than those sea cocks, so shouldnt be too much of an issue.
  21. have you ever seen the black smoke that comes out of the back of a car when you squirt redex directly into the carburettor.
  22. look at that - there is even places to store the fenders.
  23. new mooring post - whoops forgot to untie before moving off. I just wonder how long it will last.
  24. I have been looking at that, but would need to buy a freesat box.
