Hi Jason really sorry to hear that news it must have been a very hard decision. I was looking forward to bringing the new boat to you (which I still will do) once the survey etc is done for you to give your usual expert advise and friendly banter. I will miss the confidence that if anything goes wrong I have a reliable and trustworthy person / yard to rely on. But other things are more important and I wish you all the best and look forward to calling in a few weeks. Regards John B

That was the boat the old couple lived on for years. We were moored 6 boats down for a couple of years. It needed a hell of a lot of work doing to. What happened to the old couple? John

Inboard engines: which are the good, the bad and the ugly?
Jbx5 replied to znww5's topic in Technical Questions and Answers
Hi David we have just sold our Falcon Capriole 27 with a Volvo MD 22. (only 1200 hrs on the clock) Although we were a bit sceptical at first it turned out to be a great engine. 5 years approx 500 hours it never missed a beat and so economical. I cant even remember having to top up water/ oil between services (done by LBBY every year). It may be not quite as refined as the more modern engines but if its been looked after it wont let you down. Good luck with your boat hunting John -
