  1. We’ll if were playing that game 1963 for me John
  2. Electronic throttle control (fly by wire)is the favoured option with Yanmar engines. We haven't had any problems with ours since we have had the boat . Makes the drive very smooth although not quite as large engine as Robins beasts. John
  3. Good news Robin must be a weight off your mind. now good luck on Thursday with the trials. enjoy. John
  4. Really sorry to hear that news Sue Only met Pete a couple of times but he was a top friendly guy John

These thieving gits who steel off honest working people are really the lowest of the low. These lazy tow rags can’t be bothered to work for a living Had it done to me twice when on the tools (even caught one once in the back) hope he had his bus fare home! good luck in getting them back John

Might be better to tile over that ?! John
  9. A bit too large for these roads now going down Norwich rd Salhouse and having to trim the trees down as it goes past each one The traffic is well backed up John
  10. Good news Robin re mooring it’s always a relief when the mooring is sorted. Sounds like you will be around we’re we moor so will look forward to seeing you around and have a beer ir two, poss three or four then ! John
  11. On Jeremy Vine show today the Salhouse Cafe saga ! must be short of decent subjects. John
  12. That’s very expensive Robin I would check the numbers on the meter when you took over and next time you go then ask them how much they are charging a unit , must be a big standing charge as I didn’t think they could over charge with with electric like that. John
  13. Don’t let that put you off Steve , storm in a tea cup (pardon the pun!) the Bell pub is really doing well on a positive note, cheap beer and decent food just needs a bit of decoration. John
  14. As we live in the village I thought the shop and cafe was a great asset and went in a few times before it closed suddenly, but now it looks an eyesore with it all taped off the mural if that what it’s suposed to be and also what’s not mentioned in the piece a rant in bold red letters on the shop window about these premises are to turned into an adult shop (really in Salhouse ?) John
  15. Brilliant game at the moment these guys really putting their bodies on the line, hope the footballers are watching on how to give 100% for your country. John
  16. There is a much better signal now in Salhouse as a new mast has recently been installed near the playing fields (working fully from October I believe). John
  17. Not generally interested in this Black Friday business but a Black Friday reduction in the beer prices today was just down my street! All beer reduced to £3 a pint in the White horse Neatishead, a couple of Adnams Mosaic ( very nice supplement Rick for the Redwells Steam lager that has disappeared) with an excellent beer beer batered fish, Chips & peas all very welcome after a long walk on the beach. John
  18. Great choice of yard Matt plenty room and friendly service. It will be very interesting though the cost of gel repairs next year compared to other years ? We have moved south this year after 10 years north, I prefer the north slightly in winter but just too busy in the summer for a relaxing time. Have really enjoyed our south year and wins hands down the rest of the year. John
  19. Hi Lulu great choice of boat the Falcon 27, we have had 2, very well laid out Hope you enjoy your new acquisition John
  20. I would say a big fat zero , it's nothing to do with be molly coddled or h/s there's j is a serious bad bend through Salhouse and have seen cars, vans also the big lorries mount the pavement many times through going too fast at this point. The air ambulance was at the roundabout again a few weeks ago at Norwich road / Salhouse junction with a motor bike going too fast and didn't stop in time, Motor bikes regularly go speed in excess of 80mph racing down the road. John
  21. Yes children walk to school down this road, the speed I see some people flying through is madness. Some folk are the first to moan when a boat goes 1mph over the speed limit on the rivers but then think it's ok to do 40mph in a 30 limit? Opening the EDP on a daily basis there is a bad accident somewhere in the area with loss of lives or serious injuries (I would guess that the majority speed related. Again these people are just trying to raise awareness John
  22. That part the road between the island at Norwich road and the national speed limit sign has a 30 limit but very few people go 30. I walk the dog there and am very cautious especially were the road bends. Good on them for taking time out to raise awareness. The attitude they can't do anything anyway is a bit poor. Hopefully when the last half of the NDR opens it will lessen the traffic on that road especially the beet lorries. John
  23. Bloody lovely! well done Robin, plenty cleaning to do (guess you will have a crew in standby !) John
  24. Very pleased for you Robin I wish you many great adventures Now any chance of a picture of the ship for the non face book folk! John
