  1. I don’t care if it’s less or fewer, there won’t be so many! 😁
  2. Less boats down south then..............
  3. Good luck with getting everything restored, getting guidance from a computer technician sounds to be the best way forward. (Grendel may have a couple of suggestions when he sees your post too.) I bet you feel like this at the moment -
  4. You can be as soppy as you like as far as I’m concerned where dogs are concerned, especially puppies. 😊Unconditional love and affection, and they don’t grumble when things go wrong!
  5. You’ll not be able to put her down today! She’s beautiful, good times to come. 🐾
  6. I didn’t know there were pubs on Winterton beach! 🙃
  7. Mine too. The dogs love the beach and the dunes.
  8. Not yet, possibly from Monday. It’s very difficult to keep up with everything now, different measures wherever you look.
  9. There is water at the staithe but no electric hook/up. The electric you can see will be at the private boatyard moorings.
  10. Have a walk through the village, I think it is one of the nicest on the northern Broads. Better in spring and summer of course as the gardens are really beautiful then.
  11. S’raining now!! Hopefully be dry again by 14.06.
  12. Don’t know what you were looking at OBB, the forecast I saw was for a cloudy but mostly dry day with light winds. That’s what we’ve got too. 🙂 (Hastens to add, at the moment!)
  13. There are the BA 24 hour moorings, the pub moorings and the Glebe Farm moorings, only the latter is chargeable and somebody from the farm collects payment.
  14. To add to the above. Loop your bow rope around a post a little back from the front of the boat. (This will stop the boat nudging forward.) If your crew member holds the other end of the rope whilst remaining on board, once the stern is out the rope can be released very easily. Hope that makes sense.
  15. Presumably you mean the Fleet Dyke moorings leading to South Walsham Broad? (There are two sections of formal moorings plus a few wild moorings.) Fleet Dyke usually has a reasonable turnover of its moorings as some people seem to moor up for a short while (maybe for lunch) then move on again. It might be worth trying it again sometime. Nice walks from those moorings, even over to the main part of South Walsham village and Fairhaven Gardens. Two Broads to chug around as well, the outer Broad which you can moor on and the inner Broad which you can’t.

Another thumbs up for Avon Skin so Soft from me. It contains citronella but doesn’t really smell of it. Good stuff.
  17. That looks very low now! Are those boats sufficiently social distanced?
  18. I was talking to someone fairly recently who over-winters in Beccles YS. Reduced/winter rates apparently.
  19. I think that’s the point I was trying to make. The students involved will most probably accept what they are told and then pass the information on to all and sundry whether or not that information is correct.
  20. Sounds like a good plan. At least you’ll get a definitive response.
  21. That’s interesting, on our boat the same 3 pin sockets are used for shore power or inverter! I suppose it’s when one or other was added and what cabling was available/installed at the time.
  22. Surely students are potential tourists too? They do go on holidays as far as I am aware. They also have friends and family and word of mouth very often has an effect.
  23. As the other party admitted liability at the time, you should be ok with WRC (?) fixing any damage. Hope it’s all straightforward for you.
  24. Did you manage to establish whether or not any damage was done to Sweet Kingfisher?
