    Roadworks 2022

It looks like they are repairing a water leak. I noticed water running out of the edge of the pavement on Thursday when I went past.
  10. Greg Munford recently stated that Richardsons would have 207 boats available to hire this year. It wasn't long ago when they had over 300.
  11. The Richardsons team will have a extra job on this week. She's already been in the sheds for her winter maintenance but I'm sure they will get her sorted again ready for the start if the season.
  12. Yes the photo was taken from The Swan garden and the boat was on the Green.
  13. Another sunny day with clear blue skies. The temperatures dipped last night with a hard frost but warmed up during the day. May be different tomorrow as there are no stars out tonight.
  14. Looking at the weather forecast last night and we were going to be lucky if fog would clear sometime during the day. As it happened there was no fog but sunshine all day long and with that red sky tonight hopefully the same tomorrow
  15. Just staying north for a few days. Back home Sunday.
  16. Yes Kate she looked nice and cosy this morning sat in the corner with a blanket of frost on her.
  17. We came through late morning and the tide was going out. We then headed towards Acle and stopped at Thurne for a while. The tide was still going out when we reached Acle late afternoon. We came through today with 8ft 2 showing on the gauge so the true height would be more like 8ft 6 or more.
  18. We came through today with 8ft 2 showing on the gauge so the true height would be more like 8ft 6 or more.
  19. Looking at Moonlight Shadows spec. she last had a new engine in 2014. I know share boats get a lot of use but doesn't seem a long time to need another one.
  20. Made the national news tonight on the BBC. A very good outcome.
  21. Richardsons are not building at the pace they were but are building another Broadway at the moment. The superstructure was joined to the hull a couple of weeks ago ready to be fitted out.
  22. Went to The New Inn last night for the first time in a long time now that dogs are allowed inside. The food was very good with a decent menu. There are so many pubs nowadays with a very basic menu blaming staff shortages and covid. Prices are reasonable as well.
  23. We had the same treatment tonight in the Malsters at Ranworth but then again most pubs in the Broads are dog friendly especially out of season when its quieter and the bar staff have more time to socialise.

    Graham (calypso)

I never agreed with Calypso hogging the moorings at Ranworth and Horning but got to know Graham over the last couple of years and always had a chat when moored there or got a wave when passing at Horning. A friendly chap who will be sadly missed.
