Again one of our favourite places to eat and drink, stay. Not the cheapest but the quality is up there with the RS, we dont mind paying if its good and we enjoy it .
Totally agree, weve been going in there for so long that Wendy the owner now recognises us.Great food and weather permitting sitting on the terrace watching the world go by takes some beating.
I met Alan last year at Horning Pleasure Craft marina,we had a long chat about everything to to with the broads.A loverly man ,condelances to his family and friends.RIP Alan.
I got done in the road behind the Recruiting Seargeant by a mobile camera van.I was doing 34 in a 30 mph zone.Did a speed awarness course as punishment.
Ive got a 3 litre diesel XF,the heated front seats have taken a bashing this week. I may be forced to reluctantly sell it if the London Mayor has hes way as its not ULEZ compliant, and i refuse to pay £12 .50 every time i want to visit my daughter who lives in the London borough Bexley.
Have a great time Malcolm,In August our first time on MS we all went to the Ferry for tea and were pleasantly surprised with the food, but sadly on our last night we were pretty disappointed with the quality. It will be interesting to see what happens when the place has been refurbished.
The fishing this year has been bonkers, the best by far that i have ever encountered. We were on the Northern broads 2 weeks ago and cought every where we went, over 100 fish.Thurne dyke.the Ant,Ranworth Island.Sutton Staithe,Potter, and even in Barnes marina. Have a great time, let us know how it went down South.

Ive always been a champion of the Lion, but have to say that the last 2 times we have eaten there the meals have been average at best.Such a shame but hopefully they will get there act together.
So short of getting rid of the bridge, putting a cut in, is there any thing that can be done to increase moorings before the bridge?Just seems to me that the priorities are the wrong way round.
