  1. Tell me about it, I've thought of two more things since I posted the op lol
  2. I work nights and I've finished early so I am now on holiday. We are on board Ranworth Breeze for our first ever week starting Tuesday so today's plan is a short kip then shopping for the essentials and packing the car ready for the trip up. The trouble is I keep adding to the list :) Steve
  3. I'm sure the planners didn't just allow them to drop the affordable homes. There must have been some inducement? Brown envelopes at the ready.
  4. So is this road fully open now? Next week I will be driving from Brundall to Holt at some time and if it's open from the A47 to St Faiths that will save me loads of time
  5. Just watching it on Catch up It says it was first broadcast August 2017
  6. http://www.edp24.co.uk/news/politics/pressure-is-being-kept-up-over-trowse-swing-bridge-change-to-allow-norwich-in-90-trains-says-mp-1-5412330
  7. In the case of airports and motorways the run off is channelled into special reservoirs where it is treated before going back into the water table. Surely it wouldn't be beyond the resources of National Rail to come up with something similar for it's bridges?
  8. And for the first time ever I'll have a bow thruster to play with lol.
  9. Someone told me that years ago when I was mooring at Ranworth. I've used it since and it definitely works.
  10. Or it could be simply capitalising on someone else's bad decision. Nothing wrong with that.
  11. I think it's a real shame that we have gone from congratulating Richardsons on their award to this debacle in only a few short months.
  12. The big problem I have with Facebook is there policy of only showing you what they think you want to see, well that and it being so hard to search for info that you know was posted previously.
  13. I'd find him more believable if he answered the questions that were asked. Avoiding them just makes him sound like a politician and we all know how honest they are.
  14. Now where have I heard that before The main question is where to put it? A sub-forum of the Holiday Tales board perhaps?
  15. His own words are? "I have noted comments stating that, by using the term Broads National Park, the Broads Authority may somehow invoke a change in designation by stealth and that the Sandford Principle could be applied. I can categorically restate that this is not the Authority’s or my intention and I would not support it. I have never advocated the application of the Sandford Principle to the Broads - quite the reverse. " Is this true?
  16. Exactly, my son, at 7, was a lot more use as crew than sundry ex-girlfriends I took on the Broads at various times. Disclaimer: Long before I met Debs of course
  17. From the other forum "Had a phone call from Richardson's Friday to inform me I WON'T be allowed to hire from this year on, due to insurance not covering single parents with children under the age of 18!!" So it seems that insurance is the issue.
  18. Note to self: Don't try and use a highlighter on a map that has been waterproofed Doh!
  19. I've seen another case on Facebook where an already booked and confirmed hire was cancelled because there was only one adult
  20. I should have remembered this one, we ate in their last time we were up.
  21. This is great although for our first trip in March we won't have the dogs with us but I'd rather spend money in pubs that want our custom when we do.
  22. I have quite a few marked on my map for the northern Broads which I will list here. If you know of any others, especially on the southern Broads please add them. And by 'Dog Friendly' I really mean ones that let dogs inside :) Northern Broads The White Horse Neatishead* The Dog Ludham Bridge The Lion Thurne Hotel Wroxham Guess The Boatshed Wroxham* The Maltsters Ranworth *These were the dogs favourites due to the dog treats given by the bar staff
