Snow ..... Snow ..... Don't even use the word I'm off down to " My-Newt " on Friday for the weekend , and a last bit of cruising until maybe February . The wife will cancel accompanying me if she thinks there's even the remote chance of any white stuff falling from the sky .

I too have been guilty of mooring there ..... Spotted a water hose there , and as we were desperate , decided rightly or wrongly , to take advantage of it ..... Tied up for less than 10 mins then off again

I know there's an expensive pair of hand made pike rods , and a pair of Shimano baitrunner reels in the Thurne around Repps Staithe ...... A nice considerate yachtsman , came through in the dark under sail AND power , without navigation lights ( or any for that matter ) and dragged them in ..... £500 quids worth gone for good

Is the group having problems with the shop at the moment ? I'm trying to purchase an NBN pennant , but without success . Or perhaps it just doesn't like the use of IPads when ordering . Any help would be gratefully received :-)

As I only acquired " My-Newt " 6 weeks ago , this will be my first winter afloat . The biggest problem I'm likely to have is , the wife is one of those that feel the cold , and has decided to leave me to my own devices until March / April ...... So I'll be " Single Crewing " for the next 4 / 5 months
