  1. Have you been to specsavers recently Ian?
  2. My previous dog had a huge pair and was a complete wimp but got aggro from other full dogs, once done he had a much easier time and walked easier, they made his back legs splay. He should have been done before we picked him up but had signs of kennel cough so they preferred us to take him away from the other dogs and go back once the cough cleared.
  3. Go to the bss website and download the guide, it'll save you doing things not needed but advised on a boaty forum.
  4. Why is it in photos and video the sea always looks fairly flat no matter how lively in reality? You're still making me horribly jealous.
  5. Graham or Pozzick? We were lucky with Tina, for a dog that had never been in a house and had no idea of even the most basic commands (in english or romanian) she has always asked to go outside right from the start, the only accidents were clearly an ill dog and had been up to hassle us in bed, it was us that didn't catch on.
  6. I'm hoping my log fire and solar panels will keep me in my alcoholic lifestyle.
  7. With that much fur a buoyancy aid might be too hot for him, dogs swim very well in general and the harness makes fishing out of the water fairly easy.
  8. I have cans of beer out of date, I'd rather drink in a pub any day.
  9. My view would be forget the online harms stuff and consider the inriver harms stuff, sounds like an important subject regarding hireboat safety.
  10. Dining out gives me the uplifting feeling that maybe the pub will still be there next season.
  11. I think we still have a leftover Christmas curry in the freezer, it's a Christmas curry as it was going to be a turkey curry but due to a lack of raisins in the house and a blob of heavy going Christmas pud (and a few beers beforehand) Ali decided to re-use the raisins in the Christmas pud, not by picking them out but by using the whole pud remains in the curry (it was a big cook up not a small pan). As it turned out it's pretty bloody good despite the amount of alcohol the pud was laced with.
  12. That would be a disaster, imagine all that salt water leaking into the sea!
  13. I think you are going to have to start a new doggie thread, no-one cares about water rails wanderings now just doggie news.
  14. Not me, I'm busy at work, on a boaty forum, ahem......
  15. For private boats bss don't care if you sink or fall in and drown, it's fire and explosion risks mainly which is how most injured or killed on boats used to meet their fate before bss so it has worked, gas fridges and petrol engines possibly the biggest culprit. I remember towing a broken down boat into a berth on the great ouse and as soon as the skipper lifted the engine cover all I could smell was hot petrol, I was getting ready to untie rapidly.
  16. One of our dogs was a door opener so the we swapped the door handles round so they had to be lifted to open, 30 years later one is still like it.
  17. Smoggy

    Bird Flu

All depends on the training and the owner, most dog issues are on the other end of the lead than the dog.
  18. Looks like a snake smoking a spliff, I hope it didn't share with the youngster.
  19. How do you go about transferring microchip details over without a previous owners say so? Or is that sorted by the rehoming place?
  20. Had a right busy day at work this morning, cut out the 3mm aluminium back plates for the new design boat dash from a redundant piece of our test bed control panel and made a couple of adaptors out of ptfe bar for the thermostatic valve I'm planning fitting to the boat shower, due to limited space I needed a tee for the cold side and an elbow for the hot in side to keep the connections close and parallel and saved about £30 in plumbing fittings at the same time, just need 3x 1/2"bspt hosetails now. No company work happened......
  21. If you get a big waggy tail when you collect that will be a good sign.
