  1. I've used the app in spoons before but they have no soul to lose anyway, spoons are for when no other decent options are available in my view, cheap aint always the best choice.
  2. That's the soul ripped out of the place then, if that is the ordering system I'll not be bothering, any visitor moorings does anyone know?
  3. Walk in the back door of any engineering shop waving a card and see how helpful they are, then try with a twenty pond note, makes jobs much quicker and cheaper. But don't tell the guvnor....
  4. So when having meals and drinks on a tab what happens when you bring out cash at the end with no card option?
  5. I do wonder if anyone selling food products can legally refuse cash, it is the legal currency of the UK, everything else is just an iou based on it. I'm slowly weening myself back onto cash where convenient.
  6. Has your wallet or card ever suffered a flat battery and do they still work if dropped in water?
  7. What about the car designers? C'mon Griff you're missing an opportunity here.
  8. So isn't it time Graham did the jumping and Seren did the directing?
  9. Knowing people by boat or dogs names if perfectly normal, don't worry about it.
  10. If you are going to tow it call it dangleberry for the reasons in the last post.
  11. No stern on on rgo so I'd go for a bridle setup.
  12. What!! You go into a pub and not think "well as I'm here I may as well..." It's an age thing, it's probably still there just not as functional as it used to be.
  13. I've always had my mooring lines like that, very rarely do we set foot on the foredeck unless chucking an extra line across from the front to shore in bigger tides. My lines are about 1.5 time boat length and can be a pain at times but priceless more often, if I was to hire I'd likely take a bag of mooring lines with me after seeing some of the crap on hireboats.
  14. It's not a good idea to put your sarnies over the road, they'll get flattened and be un-eatable when a car goes by. Gotta be one of the better auto-corrupt glitches.....
  15. New age wherry company coming soon.
  16. Someone talking sense at last!
  17. Or a previously destructed impellor vane.
  18. You don't always have to skim a cast iron head, it's more an aluminium head thing as they warp so much easier when over cooked. You can get the face clocked up and see it it's flat or not. Edit: I am assuming cast iron head here as I've never had an old perkins apart but can't imagine otherwise for that age.
  19. I had a very nice chinese delivered there last time too, they called from the car park by the foot bridge and I just wandered over.
  20. Are you sure you read the instructions properly before assembling your dog? It appears some bits are the wrong way up.
  21. It is mostly plantation anyway so clearing is inevitable, been in there many times with the dog and always fun on the way back to st.olaves moorings after a night in the decoy tavern, much safer than the road route and once you get your night vision it's easy without a torch but cover your eyes as you pass the roundhouse as the pir light gets you. There's quite a few old military training bunkers in there in various states of collapse and the railway used to run right through it as evident by a few bridges and ditches. Queens head does a cracking carvery on a sunday for a good price.
  22. So Floydraser and the leicestershireians are planning to steal the broads after all then! Oh that's right sea level change, silly me.
  23. I've seen benacre broad on my chartplotter many times heading down the coast to southwold but never realised it was that close to the sea, I guess it's a salt water broad but is it a real broad? Was it dug out or just a naturally low area that has been inundated by the sea? There are some good pubs in southwold you know.
