  5. So, after leaving Somerleyton heading for Beccles just before the cut to Oulton Broad we came across a boat mud weighted in the middle of the river waving like mad, assumed they had a problem 😂. Yes , run out of fuel. Long story short towed them back to Oulton Broad before continuing our trip to Beccles .
  6. Just having to suffer this awful weather 😂. This morning in Oulton Broad. all on our own. now on our own at Somerleyton. More to come on the way back to Beccles.
  7. I can only echo what everyone else has said. Sincere condolences to Clive and all the family from me too.
  8. I too saw the marquee as well, asked about in the yard and the thought is it's part of the 100 year celebrations of the end of the first world war, that would explain the beacon as i was told they will be lit all over the country.
  9. That's ok i know two clash, it could be the Seamaster one then?
  10. I'm getting confused here, is the wooden boat meet a seperate meet to our forum meet, it looks to me as though the two are the same weekend but separate. soctrese there's no 'clique' here on the NBN, i left another forum because i didn't get in the 'clique' although i was member for a long time and was badly moderated for a couple of posts. Give us a chance and start again. Hope i've tried to put that across right.
  11. There are still bins at the top of Langley dyke too.
  12. Or this old thread. https://forum.norfolkbroadsnetwork.com/topic/9332-where-to-leave-waste-on-the-broads/?page=7

  15. Ok my View, i left Beccles just as the swimmers started arriving, no holdups i was in no rush to get anywhere so took it very steady watching the swimmers swimming the last 2 and 1/2 miles into Beccles well organized with plenty of Marshall boats and we could have been an extra pair eyes too if anyone got into difficulties. the last boat following said they were the last swimmers , so i could continue without worrying i may see any stragglers . yes it was well organized , not as many swimmers as planned probably but nice to see.
  16. Hi Neil, i'm on the boat in Beccles, got here last night, cleaning today, may get out later today or in morning, i'll be looking out for you. Paul
  17. Wow, this one page goes back to 2010, there's a few gone but not forgotten members there. Wonder what happened to that JennyMorgan.
  18. Probably the wrong forum for those sort of pictures.
  19. Ok so after checking the family don't need to borrow it again, and i wont use it, i'll donate the gazebo to the forum if required. The same one is still available from Argos to match it so you only need to buy one more. https://www.argos.co.uk/product/4832669 Paul.
  20. This is the latest one similar to mine https://www.force4.co.uk/garmin-gps-73-handheld-navigator.html Had it years now Paul
  21. I was lost with the 3 posts after i started this thread. Now i've had my eyes opened. Got to agree with Philosophical's post above. it started happening in the company i retired from last year. management putting different working practices in place making it difficult for people on the shop floor to do their basic job with loads of paperwork and reports to do too. Just had a text from old collegues saying it's totally changed from when i left with more wanting to leave. Just had a look on RNLI job site.....anyone for the job of Director of community lifesaving salary only £95k
