  2. about 20 years ago i bought a pair direct from brooms in brundall, i went to the office where they sent me round to the stores, things have changed at brooms in recent years but worth a try ps; make sure you have a couple of pills and a glass of water ready for when you get the invoice, lol

  6. a little off topic, but while the chat is ventilation here goes, just after the introduction of the bss on the broads i booked an inspection with a recommended examiner, he arrived at my boat rather well dressed and carrying a briefcase which he laid on the saloon table, took out a clipboard with a load of paperwork, a tape measure, slide rule and a calculator, he then put on a boilersuit took the slide rule and measured every slot in 7 louvre vents, every gap under each door then every opening window, put all his findings into the calculator and after an hour told me the ventilation on my boat was within guide lines. the full inspection took almost 3 hours a couple of years later he landed a high ranking job at the broads authority. the mind boggles
  7. there are a fair number of boats on the broads flying the broom flag and showing the shiney broom badge which in fact have never seen the inside of the sheds at brundall

  16. been there and got the t-shirt fred, but as old age crept up on me i down sized to something shorter and flatter
  17. on this type of boat you would get all you will ever need for half your budget, a season on the river and if it does not suit sell it on and you will not lose money the way the market is at present

  19. ex royalls, with the lovely upholstery pulled out and replaced with two chairs
  20. what you need for the broads is a good old bathtub and you will not go wrong, pumpout loo, heating, hot water, no problem with height, perfick!!

  23. well, i cannot match our gredel. i have dragged myself from the sack, put the kettle on and loaded the toaster, put a match to the wood burner then rested, i am now enjoying my second coffee in front of the hot stove watching the sleet coming down outside, luvverly
