  1. I have tried standing on my head (not a pretty sight at this time of the morning), any chance you can post the photo the right way round Ray and Carole.?
  2. It was just a thought that a firm such as Boulters, always friendly and go the extra mile , may have just allowed the cover to be given to the new buyer. I have added - It is a shame Sonny has gone. Fred dear - in the scheme of things these days I think I am being more than generous to Boulters. If that is slagging a company off well really. I pointed out that they do not Transfer their Recovery if you sell the boat. We have never made a claim in 6 years of being with them. We often called in to buy gas etc throughout the year and as said they were really good. It is a shame they cannot help in this matter.
  3. Thank you Bairunner, I guess it comes to us all in the end, but never mind, onwards and upwards and I am looking forward to many riverside bungalows and being able to watch the boats that way. Next year I am hoping that we will be able to hire a boat for a short stay just to see how we get on.
  4. It is not the money , if it was I think I would have stuck my head in the gas oven by now with all that we have paid out and will never recover. Then that is another story. It was just a thought that a firm such as Boulters, always friendly and go the extra mile , may have just allowed the cover to be given to the new buyer. Ill heallth prevents us from purchasing another boat. So everyone , make the most of every minute on your boat that you can.
  5. As said by Clive it is the boat that is insured and as we had only just, and I mean just paid the darn bill, I would have thought that it could have been passed fully paid to the next purchaser. A bit of forethought on their behalf - another customer for the following year. Clive is correct and now you can see why his business goes from strength to strength. We are not talking AA, Greenflag , house insurance or the like we are talking of a service on the Norfolk Broads. The boat is the same , except the people owning it will be different. The mechanics dont alter, the engine is still serviced regularly yearly when we hand it over.
  6. May be others should take a note of your business practice. Well done Clive.
  7. Can I just say that , as you know we are having to sell our boat due to ill health I was not impressed that having just paid £131 odd to Boulters they WILL NOT transfer this to the purchaser despite having been with them and never claimed for many many years. Loyalty counts for nowt these days.
  8. Best possible posh voice "One assumes one had 3 Shredded Wheat for breakfast". Good to see such a positive attitude , none of this doom and gloom.
  9. Cartwheels - this i have got to see......
  10. Thoroughly enjoyed the cricket and the Nowich match. We kept switching between the two. Well done both teams.
  11. Think that is a slight exaggeration . I looked at camera and thought far more sensible.
  12. I certainly will contact the yard and ask them directly. Thank you.
  13. Thank you that is good to know, having viewed one of these boats the spec was so high and just the ticket for us two oldies. A real pity if they are no longer. M
  14. Robin I caught sight of you in one of LBBY little weekender boats. You said (unfortunately for us) that they were no longer hiring these out in the future. What a big blow , we were hoping , as having to sell our boat due to ill health for a shot break on one of them. Where have they gone to. Does anyone know. Monica
  15. Our house's reaction was that you did extremely well Robin. Other half said had he been on his own he would have not have worried beyond getting the boat to safety as you did. Had I have been on board then he certainly would have gone into an extreme panic mode as I would have been having a nervous breakdown. No one knows exactly how they would react in any situation until that situation occurs. Sure you will feel a big tetchy at the moment but that is partly down to shock. I dont care how of the 'gung hoe' brigade on here would feel , you would all feel a big sense of relief but it would still have given you a shock. Take it easy and let the family spoil you for a day or two (if you are back home that is).
  16. I hope you are alright Robin after this terrible scare. My heart was thumping watching the clip. What a panic I would have been in. Just hope you are ok.
  17. It was obviously someone's Mum , Grandma , wife, sister, etc. I know what you mean M M but as you say it is folk left behind and my heart goes out to them all.

I rather like the fact that the lady of boat expresses everything that I would have said. The brain dead at their best. Sod everyone else.
  19. Can you tell us what boat you hired from Silverline please? There is only the two of us but the thought of those lovely radiators and the hot shower has sold it to me.
  20. Oh dear I do hope you are ok, I am fed up with all this bad luck we are all having. Please let us know you are alright.
  21. Can you get this on catch up at all, as we missed it.
  22. SSL connection. If I keep trying I can manage to get the darn thing and send a few things and then it goes. I am using Internet Express at the moment which I hate and even that thas decided to give up on me. I think I will call it a day on this and in the morning may be it will have sorted itself out, which I find often happens. I just wondered if anyone had also had problems, we are on the Norfolk Suffolk border and the signal isnt all that most of the time.
  23. It seems to be Chrome that is messing about , just got in with Internet Express.
