At the last Coronation I was 8 years of age , now 78 watching it all again. Somewhat different circumstances, when I was 8 Dad was in the RAF. All ranks wives and children were invited to the only TV and that was brought into the Sergeants Mess. I can still see us all sitting on the floor in front of this tiny black and white TV. This was at RAF Kidbrooke that is probably an IKEA store now.

I wondered when I read it if the ex had been chewing through the straps on the life jacket. This little guy and me have a lot in common, curled up asleep on the sofa. Dont know about any else but I feel quite left out with all of these lovely dogs. Helen you and hubby deserve a medal for what you have done for Pozzie.

We hired from these people some years ago but had the misfortune of arriving when the Canal had a serious leak and was shut from a certain part down. So all our plans of seeing Morecambe Bay never materialised. How did you find the boat? Can I just ask , did the fridge have a freezer section, only ours was a larder fridge. Our boat was a wide beam and was more like Ikea on the water, all very posh but not practical. Where is their base now?

I certainly was miss sold our first hire boat by my other half who reckoned it was going to be so luxurious. I went with great expectations and was sadly disappointed in this so called luxury boat that broke down, the fridge didn't work, the heating didn't work and this was early April and we had snow. I know my experience is not in the same instance as someone chartering and being disappointed. However, I survived and in the end after hiring for many years we bought our own boat , now sold and we are still hiring so not everyone gives up.

It always is an overcoat colder up here in Norfolk especially when the old easterly wind is a blowing. Have a really good weekend everyone.

I agree, we chose a hotel that was 'no pets' and low and behold they were even allowed in one of the restaurants. Well not wanting some Alsatian eyeing up my pork chop , we opted for the restaurant where it was no pets. It does seem that these so called sites are not always correct and I would definitely ring them.
