  3. Hi Mark, I do not know if you are like me but before setting off on any journey on the boat we turn off the gas at the bottle and stow items away in the galley area. Also at night the last thing before going to bed is turn off the gas. This is something we have always done on boats. Regards Alan

  7. Hello Hylander, Sorry to hear about your friends issue on Breydon. If boats do overtake on there they should leave a very wide berth and slow down well in advance before passing other craft to reduce their wake. There are other places on the rivers when speed limits are ignored completely and many forum member both on this forum and others, have been thrown about at moorings at night in places such as horning. Your friends should not be put off with this or they would never take to the water again. The world is full of prats and occasionally we get some on the waterways. Regards Alan
  8. Hello Seth, I like those all round windows on the front & side of the boat. Its almost like the the front of the sub in the old TV progamme "Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea" except your boat looks classy. Regards Alan
  9. Thanks Trevor, I have ammended the notices. Regards Alan

  17. Hi Neil, Any of us on the water count us selves lucky being able to chill out and watch the world go by. I only have 5% of the boat some of our owners have 10% and of course have more weeks aboard. We have been owners since the boat was launched in early 2001 and have had some great holidays on the Broads over the years, if it had not been for boat share and Syndicate ownership we would have not have been able to afford the trips down to the Broads over the years. If your time and finances are limited then this may be the way forward for a number of people. We however have no longer any shares currently for sale but I believe there are some shares available on Southern Crusader our sister vessel and BCBM managed syndicates also have a few shares on some of their boats. Only four more sleeps to the Broads. Regards Alan
  18. Hi David, I hope you are going to be careful how and where you use that generator! Regards Alan
  19. Ken Wallis stunt double and pilot of "little Nellie" in the 1967 Bond film "You Only Live Twice", sadly died on the 1st September aged 97. Mr Wallis will be laid to rest at a private family funeral. A celebration of his life will be held Old Buckenham Airfield on 29 September. For more details see:- http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-norfolk-23961175 Regards Alan
  20. Hi Neil, That is Ranworth Breeze, sadly I am not on her until the 9th of September to meet our BSS inspector, Joan & Joe would have been on the boat when you saw her. Matt I am not sure what the yellow thing is, other than the fender sock has slipped and what you are seeing is the top of the fender. It is a constant battle with the fender socks but we have a roll of the socking in hand so it looks like a job to be put on my list. I tend to do little jobs around the boat whilst Tan steers the boat, the only time I get to have a go is when we moor or if we encounter a lot of yachts. Regards Alan
  21. Hi Nick, The staith at Womak is a great location and the walk up the lane to the Kings Arms is well worth it, I am glad you got in there it is a very busy place. Regards Alan
  22. Hi Mandy, I take it that you have had a good holiday other than the few incidents you have had on your travels with the dogs, flat batteries and drunks! I have seen a number of the smaller motor homes and they look very good, one of our ex owners went out of our syndicate after wanting to spend more time using his 6 berth motor home. What ever you do next year enjoy your time on the camping sites or the Broads. Regards Alan
  23. Hello Pollyplukett, Welcome to the forum from Tan & myself. Being as you have been on the Broads do you have any interesting comments/repots of your trip. Regards Alan
  24. Nature is a balancing act and in many ways the intervention of man does it no favours at all. Regards Alan
  25. Hello Seth, Welcome to the forum from Tan and myself, looking forward to your story and hopefully some pictures, if you are not sure how to do this you only have to ask for advice. Regards Alan
