  1. Yes, I remember Ranworth Staithe allowing mooring for Blake’s boats only with signs stating the same. Hoeseasons craft weren’t welcome Griff
  2. That's the spirit webntweb - fill the lot of us with eternal hope and optimism Thanks for the info all the same Griff
  3. Admiral 7 - My very best favourite all time woody. I have spent weeks and weeks onboard her. Thanks for sharing the photo's Griff
  4. If it wasn't for this infernal Coronavirus crisis we are under this is what I should have been doing today Griff
  5. Block paving - that's the front of house stage one completed, three quarters completed on the drive - So I didn't give mysen a day off as it happens. Tomorrow should see the drive completed along with front of garage and back garden path - Wx permitting. Griff
  6. We have a set daisy chained for use onboard 'B.A' in her engine space, very pleased with them we are too The four that are currently installed in Trevor are fine. I thought I could do with a couple more seeing as I have time on my hands Griff
  7. I will ask Ramona Griff, but she will probably want to bring her husband and doggies. Sigh, well it was good whilst it lasted! Griff
  8. Vito? - Vito? I once had a Merc Vito van - Never again. As a result of that van will I never own a merc of any description. Damn thing cost me far more than it ever earnt me Griff
  9. the world has dealt with this before and in a greater scale, Agreed but there is a huge difference this time round - It involves me an mine Griff
  10. Now this is more like it, 'We' are productive once again and moving forwards, which keeps me entertained on my favourite topic Thanks Peter Griff
  11. but he does have two of them That's ten tenths showing off is what that is Griff
  12. That's a shame, after all, your shot normally stays 2 metres away from the clay. :-) Very good - Well done However, I will have you know that once my shot is airborne with a velocity of around 1000 feet per second, more often than not I can report that the clays do actually fly into it! (Sometimes) Griff
  13. Erm, Peter, Does the very tall blonde lady electrical engineer fancy a Trip out on 'B.A' perchance? Griff
  14. Hmmm, seems I fooparred there - That's not the first time and certainly won't be the last No Mer arrived from Amazon yesterday as I expected it to do so. On checking the order it is not due to arrive til April 24th What? I mistakenly assumed it was on the 'Prime' order system - It wasn't. So, order cancelled, over onto Ebay. same stuff, a tad cheaper with free delivery and it'll arrive in the next three days. By that time I'll have to rinse Trevor off to get rid of any airborne dust particles and rain residue before the polishing can commence I did however have a small tidy out of the load area (To be continued) and have come up with ideas of better storing the tub of 3mm spacers and the work light. Need to come up with a solution to get the mini wet cutter stowed off the deck too. There are LED interior lights in the load area, I'd quite like a couple more of em - Have to converse with Trev's previous owner to find out where he sourced them from Griff
  15. Yesterday - Commenced with cleaning the block paving front of house. Most of the day at it on and off, well there is hardly any rush and it's not like I am pressed for time. I have completed two thirds of front of house stage one. Stage one being a 'V' shaped wire brush on the end of a pole, followed by brush n shovel. I reckon another two or three days to complete front of house, driveway and paths to rear before moving onto stage two. Decision time, with it being Sunday do I give myself a day off? Today should have been clay shooting for me. That's obviously not gonna happen Griff
  16. Well I can’t work. And if I can manage without the grant I will do so Griff
  17. The garage is on the list yes, but it isn't next. I'll have to take a few deep breaths and gird my loins first. It certainly won't be just a one day job Tbh - It will probably be last on the list Griff
  18. Slow day yesterday. Got the ZX1 administered just fine, well sort of fine, it took me well over an hour to find the syringe and flexi tube in my tip of a garage. Polishing was a disaster. My chosen car polish is 'Mer' it is well out of date and I soon realised that it was only fit for the wheelie bin where it now resides. So, Bro' gave me some Maguires car polish as he said he couldn't get on with it, neither could I. It was proper hard work polishing it off, so hard in fact that some of the residue is still on just the one panel that I tried it on. I'm now going to have to wash that panel off to get the residue off. Online - Amazon, a new bottle of Mer should be arriving today - hopefully - bearing in mind the current CV issue. Although everyday I'm seeing deliveries from Amazon in our manor. So before that arrives I will get set too and empty the cargo area and give that a clean and sort out Looking at upgrading all Trevor's lights to LED Autobulbsdirect are a good online site for this kind of thing (Used them before now) but it will cost a fair few quid and seeing as I'm not earning for the foreseeable that may have to wait Other news - I have successfully removed Mcafee entirely from this new pc and installed Bitdefender as I have a yearly account with them. Also now got a free trial using a VPN that too from bitdefender MrsG is concentrating on interior spring cleaning and also the garden, but we are both attending to our tasks slow time as we have to get through three weeks of this at least Today as a treat I will get to drive Trevor to a neighbouring village to collect a couple of field shot rabbits. We won't actually meet up of course, he will leave them at the end of his drive for me to collect. Rabbit casserole here we come - a treat with red wine to wash it down Griff
  19. No doubt you will be cracking on with both model 'B.A's ? Griff
  20. well at least you have the kit car, you could strip that down and rebuild it if you ran out of anything else to do. Nice thought but not possible. The Dutton Phaeton S3 is not at my location, it's at a mates garage workshop in long term storage about 4 x miles away. Hardly necessary travel and certainly does not come under 'Essential travel for food / medicine / vital work not possible from home' Griff
  21. I see our government has now come up with a support package for the self employed - That's me and MrsG of course. 80% of earnings averaged over three years seems fair to me and I for one am grateful. We won't actually get any funds until June - Just have to manage as best we can then. Whilst I understand that this is a grant, its taxable, I agree with that too What I don't get is that of the self employed, those that can carrying on working and earning can do so but still claim the grant? Just how is that right and proper on the countries national debt? It's like having free money from the taxpayer when you don't need it. This is not a jealousy thing on my part. Before the announcement yesterday I would have though government help is for those that really need it, not for some to cream free brass off the top for nowt. Still good news for those still working eh? Griff
  22. Work? - What work - that's a no no right now, I might go and clean that bungalow roof next week though Griff
  23. What to do today? Trevor - Having researched the relevant quantities on line I will be administering 115ml of ZX1 to the gearbox, this will entail crawling underneath on our block paving but so what, the wx up here is glorious for a change. 20ml to the power steering reservoir and 90ml into the diesel tank. I treated the engine oil back in August when he arrived. Then it will be a hand polish of the exterior paintwork including door reveals, glass polish inside and out. I valeted the cab yesterday. After that lot it will be emptying, cleaning and sorting out the load area. I will go on line to find a full set of led lamp replacements including super bright reversing lamps Griff
