Excellent pics Simon,as you say we get carried away with other stuff .The comment about the Pheasants are only to valid .We arrived at the boat the other day to find one had flown into the side and was laying on the side decking, unfortunately having gone to the great aviary beyond.Puzzles me how they get that big as they play chicken on the Walsham road expecting you to stop and there is always several laying at the roadside who did not make it.
Looking good Col ,you will have to have "in at the Front and out at the rear ,signs " ,as they do at the boat shows, when you give tours at the meet.if you have any more bits to bend we have a steamer you could use if you wanted.Look forward to seeing you all .
Thanks Dave the pub I knew was in the Hadhams and you pulled the chain in the well and up came a massive kettle! now I stopped you all wondering about the "OTTER " .The pub we did use most in the area was the Hoops ,the publican Arthur provided most of us with memorable pre wedding Stag Nights .Ah those were the days ,now its Dublin or Prague or somewhere equally exotic.
Hi Dave ,was that the pub with the " Largest water Otter in the world " must be 40 to 50 years ago ? Much Hadham ? I had a feeling that I heard that it is no longer there .Shame it certainly was unusual.
Hi ,just back from a week away and would have like to have took up the offer to join one of you for a trip out maybe if you do it again ?. Hope you guys have a good time and look forward to reading your tales next week. Will be around on the Northern Broads sometime over the next week,so if any other Forum members are out give us a wave when you see the forum flag .
Had that on the old BMC bad starting and smoke ,but went well after that. Went to the boat to check her today and she started after a few turns ( 3 pot Perky ).First time since December.Had a bad cold but the sunshine makes you feel all that much better.Glorious sun on the way back home passed two Gritters spreading ??? at 4 PM . Funny old day???
Hi Andy ,talking to the man from Garmin at the Birmingham show at the weekend and he said to do as you say put in in a water filled bag and move it around the bottom of the boat to find the best position. He said the oil filled tube should give a good result without the risks with epoxy which once set is virtually for good.Good practice or not it could be worth a try.and you can still fix by other methods if it does not work.
